My aunt taught me to eat cold cuts before. She learned to eat that when she worked in japan. She said its safe because its already cooked ham but its just frozen. When i tasted it, i liked it too much . It tastes good , but my mom said stop eating it that way because its cancerous . Is it really safe or not?

Cold cuts depending on brand are so good. However, I really don't think they are that healthy for you. As for cancer I don't know if that is possible. I just know that cold cuts have alot of sodium in them and fats so they are not really good for you. I don't remember the last time I had a sandwich with coldcuts. However, I could see having one once in awhile not every week though.

Cold cuts are not really healthy. I'd listen to your mother on this one. When my mom found out about nitrites, she never bought them again. They also give some people headaches. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2011/08/10/hot-dogs-cold-cuts-significantly-increase-diabetes-risk/

It is really hard to rely on these frozen cold cuts especially if they were not kept up with the correct standards. So instead of eating it directly from the freezer, I either cook them with oil or place it in the oven...just to be safe.

I love eating cold-cuts too. But, I also heard it's not good for our health, because it contains additives like nitrates that can lead to cancer.
