Not all crimes are sins. Civil disobedience such as sit-ins, unlawful protests, etc are quite often categorized as crimes. Obviously it is not right to classify such actions as sins. Campaigns like these-organized or not-have at many times in history proven to result in reforms which are in complete agreement with God's desires for the well-being of a people. If an action is really in agreement with God, it can't simultaneously be classified as a sin, which by definition is a transgression of God's command/s.

To me another word for sin is imperfection.. so crime, to me, is also imperfection.. besides being abusive to others, which surely is a sin.. to fraud, steal or assault, etc.

When we break the law, we commit a crime, when we break the divine law, we commit a sin.The difference here is that human laws change from time to time, but God's law is always the same. You can get away with a crime, but you never get away with sin.Sins never change, they only take new forms. For those who don't believe , sin doesn't exist, so they have nothing to worry about.Or do they?;)

Crimes and sins are different. Sins are acts against your religion and crimes are acts against the laws in the area that you live.

Sin is going against Gods will, while crime goes against the laws.

Crime is always a sin while sin is sometimes a crime. Crimes, for me, are the things contrary to the law. Sins, for me, are personal crimes. Example: I kill him. (crime) I lie. (sin)

crimes are committed when a person violates the criminal laws. each country has a series of laws regarding criminal acts. a sin is committed when one doesn't obey the laws of his religion. crimes are sins since most criminal acts are violations of the laws on good conduct common to all religions. i don't believe that all sins are crimes. an example of this is blasphemy, a grave sin in religion although it is not a crime punishable by man made laws.
