new department in the working field , new and various people u need to meet everyday, new adjustment, everything is NEW. Is it you who started the conversation first? and make some discussions? make friends? or you just stay in the corner and wait other colleagues to talk to you?

I prefer to start a conversation as it is a skill that I want to improve on. I have stayed in the background for so long and it's high time I become more assertive than before.

I can relate to you. Before I am very silent and stayed in one place, wait other people to talk to me but as time bhy time passed by I already know how to spice the discussions, and mostly I started the conversation. Good for you rather to us , we should be assertive as what you said. Thanks for your comment have a nice day franne.

Well i can understand that it is not easy for anyone to start a conversation with others especially when the environment around you is completely new. It does take time to gel with people and make contacts with them but rather than wasting time in thinking about them we should always take the first move.

Correct taking the first move is a good action. Assertiveness is the key to get to know them immediately and to feel more comfortable with the presence of everything that is NEW to us. Thanks.

I think the person that came in last is always made to have all the trouble, at least from all that I've seen and past through. It's like the new guy must really work to earn soemthing inside.
