Had you experienced meeting an old flame after long years of not having a communication? Then he came back from outer space telling you how sorry he had been for losing you?
I had completely forgotten a special someone who broke my heart a very long time ago. It was a painful process of moving on. A five year relationship just ended without any final closure but I managed to find a better one...
Then he came back...feeling sorry and I have written this poem to encapsulate the way I felt...
LOVE THAT NEVER WAS
It was an answered prayer when you came
Full of sweet promises that made me tame
we were at the prime of our youth
Full of love with nothing to lose
For all I knew you came to sing me blues!
You had kept me waiting in vain
And all I had was myself to blame
Broken vows of love that was untrue
You painted my world with pitched dark hues
In the arms of another you found a new love
I had to move on and hid behind your tracks
Life was good, someone was waiting in the aisle
with him I found a love with no disguise
Then you came back after a decade or so
To tell me you're sorry for you had to go
In your eyes i could see pain and regrets
In my heart I felt there was no threat
Thinking how much you had suffered enough
The miseries and troubles seemed so rough
And all that you dared say...
I knew right then...I didn't care!

yeah, i exactly remember the moment when i saw her again. it was soc lear as if the moment was frozen for a time. i saw her first, and then all the memories flashed. the good times were passing through me. i hardly moved for a while. and then she saw me. the smile she gave me that moment took away the distance and time we missed when we were not together. it was as if only yesterday.

Nice discussion. Yes it has happened to me, and he tried very hard to win me back. Last I heard was that he named his daughter after me! The only thing I kept thinking when he was asking me back was, wow thank goodness it didn't work out, I can't imagine how I would have lived with that choice if it had! Some choices of our youth are best left behind and we are thankful for things drifting away, I can't really say I regret leaving behind the things that I did :)

It hits us more often and ideas from the past are quite crazy and too hot to handle and i love such ideas

Sorry to hear that you had that experience. Glad that you were able to express your thoughts, deal with your pain and move forward in your life. I have experienced losing someone but it was because we just were not ready for a serious commitment at that time. And later on we realized how much we did care for each when the timing was right. Now we are married and have a daughter together. Our relationship has more than it's share of ups and downs but we do love each other very much.

I recently had the occasion to see an ex-girlfriend of mine from a long time ago. She is even more beautiful now than when I was with her. Unfortunately for me, she is happily married now with a good life, but all those feelings I had for her then still came rushing back. It was hard for me to have to walk away from her again, but I am happy that sge found a guy who treats her well.

I have met my first love after 23 years via Facebook. I just turned my back away from him before when I learned something bad about him and never knew if it was true. So, we said our hi's and hello's then I have managed somehow to ask if what I have learned was true. He denied it and said that he never thought of doing such thing. So it turned out that, the person who said things to me was interested in courting me. Anyway, we are both married now. Nothing we can do about it. Despite the pain I felt for so many years, I was happy to have talked to him.
