I admit I am not a good cook. I do not really like cooking since young. But I like eating delicious food. :) Well, now I have been married for about 7 years . I have no choice but to learn how to cook for my family. I cannot possibly buy outside food. Outside food means more money have to come out. True ? So I learned cooking from scratch. I would be very nervous when comes to what ingredients to use, how much salt must put in, etc. As much as I wanted to cook as nice as possible , I will be very disappointed with myself whenever my family criticise the taste or they did not eat that much. The normal food I cook is vegetable soup, curry, "asam pedas" , kangkong belacan, fry chicken. Each and everytime before I cook, I will always refer back to the recipe I've found. Need your help in this. Would you share with me the basic recipes that are very simple for me to cook for Mondays to Sundays ? I wanted to stick to specific recipes for me to hone my skills first in cooking. Then when I feel that I can cook those basic food, I will upgrade myself to cook more complicated food for my family.

Hi, you are right. Buying food from outside is very costly. So you have to learn cooing. You should buy some cookery books so that you don't have to think about the ingredients and all that. You can learn from your mother or mother in law or any elder woman in family.

Hi, oh yes i do have some cookery books but some ingredients have to find at faraway place from my home. Actually that upset me. As to learn from my mother , inlaw or elder woman, i will do that. I'm quite nervous to ask them because they might think that as a wife, i should be able to cook well by now.

I like to cook, but I don't like cooking for other people, I Like cooking for myself,I have had some people talk about me, saying I should tell anyone I can't cook, so that is why I cook for myself, and not for anyone else.
