I immediately clean the cooking utensils after I burned it / myLot

I forgot I was cooking something as I went inside then when I brought something out on the kitchen only then I saw that I left something burning. So I immediately scraped the burn part. The good thing is we have this something meant to wash away the burnt easily. I used that and it worked like magic. No one get to see or get to know what happened anymore.

I used to set a timer whenever I cook something. This serves as a reminder for me to check the food before it gets into burn stage
