I want it back :(

Hi All :) This weekend too, as usual, i came back to home. And my mom called up to native home so that i could talk to my grandmother. I was happy. She was insisting to see me. In fact, all people there were waiting for my arrival and insisting to see me just once. I feel sad, because i don't get holidays here and so i cannot travel to my native place to see them. It pains me to see them like that. I have not been there since 2-3 years. And yeah i miss that place a lot. Nature at its best. Kerala, also known as 'God's own country'. We talked over the phone and i told my grandmom that i have joined a site and it helps me to earn some extra cash (even though i did not do my cashout even once). She was happy to know that. But i and my mom said that i play games online to earn, so that they will understand it easily. My grandmom loves games too. We both used to play videogames. Her favorite was the galaxy star in which, we controlled a spaceship and fired at those butterfly looking stuffs which descended from above. I wish i get those days of my life back. Yes i want it back. I don't want to lose anyone from my life. I wish there was no 'get old' concept in life. And i want to see them all before they leave me... I want to hug them and see them happy seeing me. I wish if life never ended and it was forever.

A weeks holiday is not an unreasonable thing to want. The world is changing very fast, and as your skills grow you may find it far easier to get a job with a better employer. At the moment, as far as I can see, a lot of employers from overseas, see India as a source of cheap labour, but for well qualified intelligent people that will change, you are perhaps more valuable to your employer than you realise, maybe you should consider some other options.

Yes, four months is probably too soon to want a holiday, however it would not be unreasonable to want one after you have been there for a bit longer. So maybe rather than seeing yourself as never going back there, you can start thinking about going there again after you have been working there for a bit longer.

Yeah. But i need to go there after my exams get over in May. I need to be there in July no matter what. It's important.

i am still a junior so it's not the right time for me to consider other options. It's been 4 months since i joined the project and still need to learn a lot about it. Maybe i can persuade my manager about the leaves else i will need to take it forcibly. Lol.

Hi Nitin, I'm sorry to hear that, however it's good for you that your mom is with you at least. I live alone here and it's not that easy to take a break and go back home. This is how the life has changed for our generation. You'll have to accept it, just like so many others like us. Try speaking to your boss, I'm sure, you can get at least 10 days of leave in 3 years.

That is why it is important to appreciate our family whilst we have them, no one knows whats around the corner, I hope you get to see your family soon. Unfortunately we cannot turn back the clock, just enjoy what we have today. When I first left home, I missed my mum a great deal, even though I spoke to her at least once a week on the phone, it wasn't the same as having her around.

Hi, It is very sad that you haven't meet your grandmother 2-3 years. Granparents always become happy by meeting their grandchildren. Kerala is very beautiful place. I haven't gone there but I have seen it in movies and in photos. It would take long to reach Kerala. So you should have whole week leave so that you can spend happy times with your grand mother and other relatives there. My son can go to meet their grandparents on week end because they are saying in Navi Mumbai and we are staying in Pune.

Yes it is a very beautiful place. Though i did not yet see the whole place. Hahaha. Pune to navi mumbai hardly takes 3.4 hours so that's so lucky of you.. :) And yes travelling to kerala almost takes 12 hours in train but far less in an aeroplane, i don't know by what time. Getting one week leave is not possible for me and they won't give it.

Hi! It's sad to hear that you haven't saw your native place for so many years... Work, school and society, sometimes these things keep us away from the things that we really care and love.. And this is sad :(. If they have a computer, try to buy yourself a webcam and tell them to buy one too. This way you'll can see each other more ^^. Or try to make pictures, and them too, and send them letters :). Sometimes, letters are more precious than emails [altough are not as cheap as them :( ]. I wish you luck, and maybe you'll find the time and the money[I think you need some money to travel to your native home and back] to go and see your family :). I end response with a quote I remember I read once somewhere on the Internet, sorry because I forgot the author :'' If you really care about it you'll find away, not an excuse.'' :)
