combatting the summer heat

My family and I went to a resort last Holy Week together with my in-laws to escape from heat in the city. It was only an overnight stay and we could feel that the kids were not contented with that very short limited time they spent on the beach. My eldest daughter sweet talked her daddy for buying a swimming pool which we could put on the top deck of the house so they could swim the heat away at the fine corners of our home. Our dad said no. My eldest child then talked to her grandma to convince her dad to buy that pool. So grandma to the rescue asked her son to buy since her youngest son (my brother-in-law) who is living in an adjacent unit bought one already for his kids. Dad thought for a while and asked the kids to come with her to but that pool. As of this moment, dad is with the kids taking their plunge in the pool while i am myLotting here...hhahaha

Swimming pools definitely are a great way to combat the heat during the summer. We've had an above ground swimming pool that we will set up in my mother's back yard every summer and this year will be the eleventh year that we've had a pool in her yard. You see, we live many hours away from the nearest beach so we don't have any way of taking the kids to the beach and they really do enjoy the time that they are able to spend in the swimming pool during the summer.

That is so neat. We had a pool while growing up and I spent as much time as I could in it. It will help everyone to stay cool plus great fun and exercise. And you get time to yourself for MyLotting. Great way to go.

Glad to hear that your family was able to get a pool. I'm sure that the children will enjoy it very much. It also will help with the heat. So it is a great thing that your family was able to get it.

And that is why when mom or dad said no, grandma or grandpa should be within "complaining" distance to help rally on the cause.

Well, if I were in your place, and above all had a suitable house with a large terrace and then the economic possibilities, no doubt I would also install a swimming pool. However, I must point out that here in the Easter holidays, in my city (Genoa, italy), is not made ??in good weather. For almost the entire month of March, it rained. Only now, in the first days of April, the weather is improving, even though the weather forecast, they did know that tomorrow, Monday April 8, probably will still be a rainy day!
