Good day Fellow Mylotters, Before, I used to say, I can't smile without seeing my family. Since I was assigned and work previously to a far away land. So I long for and always looking forward to see my family. However, the situation now is different, as I can't smile when my family is around. Because they tend to push me away and didn't appreciate my presence since I came back.

Sometimes it will be better to be away from your family, missing them and loving them from afar rather than be together all the time and get into each others' nerves. As we grow, we begin to have our own opinions and start to make our own decisions. When you still live under the same roof with your parents, they tend to be controlling of you still, since you live in their house, you need to abide by their rules. In this case, it will be better to be away and let you guys miss each other. Like the song goes, "even lovers need a holiday."

I think it's time you start learn to live with yourself. To be happy with you, since you are your own best friend! Family won't be Always there, neither will friends, so be your own best friend. Start smiling if you see yourself!

hello, airasheila ! Maybe you should not expect too much from them when you know that you will just end up hurting inside. Just do what you think is right and believe that someday, they would appreciate you more.

i see that you really love your family if you feel that they push you away it doesn't mean they don't appreciate your presence since you are gone for so long, maybe you mess up communicating with them while they are longing for you..

I'm bound also to be far from my family because of work and this is the first time that this will happen. I wish that I could adapt to the changes that will happen. I think Airasheila, you should widen your circle of friends so that you will appreciate yourself more and not depend your happiness to others.
