No Mercury drug store in Shoe Mart..as the owner of the SM promised..

My friends in the Phils , are you aware that in SM malls there are no Mercury drugstore ? For those who don't know yet , here i am telling you that there is really no mercury drugstore in any SM all through out the country . Honestly friends i just knew and was able to confirm recently and it was not a hearsay , it was really true !
A great story was behind it ,once Mr Henry Sy Sr. , the owner Of SM's don't have a place for his products which was the shoes and it happened that Mercury Drugstore was already in business and having a name already , so MR Henry Sy tried to approach the owner of the Mercury Drug to rent a small portion for his Shoe business but the owner refused . So Mr Henry Sy was humiliated and felt so discouraged which made him promise to himself that when when he get rich and will have a big store , Mercury Drugstore could never rent in his place. Haha God listened to this , Mr. Henry Sy is one of the richest man in the Philippines . He owned all the Shoe Mart's store all over the country and as he promised no Mercury drug could ever rent his place. What a great lesson this teaches us ! Friends w3hat can you say about this and what lessons are you learning from this..

Good day Angelpink,
What you have posted really gives an information to me. As I was not aware of that. I am just hoping and wishing that I could also have that attitude which helped Mr. Sy to become a richest man in the Philippines. Although I am not aspiring that much but I want to be rich and be known as a Multi-Talented and Successful Entrepreneur. And praying that time will come very soon.

Hope people including us will continue to set exceptional gestures than involving into some things that destroys human being . Yes i heard a business tycoon of yours there than starts from nothing then now almost owning the whole world . One of the richest person in this world is coming from your tribe and am so sure he have his piece also.

Yes and it taught us many lessons . He is one of the richest person in the Philippines . He owned a lot of banks or almost all through out the country. He is a business tycoon. He proved that great things starts from small beginnings.

Yep, we learned about this in buss org back in college. There are also other anecdotes about SM and Henry Sy back when it is only a small shoe store. It is really a good business read and very inspiring for those who want to try entrepreneurship but always lose faith in what they do.

Ahhhh i am really left with information ..haha but better late than never ! True that is why Watson is there ! See this tells us a lesson that life is really like a wheel , those in the lower part will rise up someday , if hardwork , dedication , perseverance , believing in ones talent , a little of luck a mountain of faith to God and all were proven by My Henry Sy .

i Love the story and that will serves as a lesson to all of us that the world is round and we have to be good to anyone because we'll never know what comes next to our lives and how faith will turn to us

True ! That is why it is never good to say something bad against our fellows because we won't know that those words we've given are the words we would be eating . The world is round , nothing is certain and permanent here . We'll never know those who have nothing now would be the ones who'll own the world in the future. The lesson here , let us be humble always and be generous , there is really Karma in life .
