We in our life will undergo ups and downs as well as our country does. We cant deny the fact that every country has a record of a great president. For me, Marcos was the greatest president of our country, looking at the good side, 2php=1usd the economy was high. What about you? What can you say?

Yeah maybe he was good in terms of economy but with Peace and harmony NO!..For me being a good president is not about money.. there's alot of aspect to be considered..because we are humans and as human being we cannot live in this world with the money alone!

Well, he is a brilliant person indeed. But he let all that power corrupt him. The economy was good, but it was not peaceful. It was only beneficial to thse close to the Marcoses and the city they lived in. He was very corrupt and even cheated on his wife. The Marcoses did what they wanted and even killed to stay in position.

according to some people i know, marcos is one of the smartest presidents our country has ever had. it was just that imelda was a bad influence to him.

Ferdinand Marcos? It's not really great because there is a Martial Law. I think Cory Aquino was a good president and then his current president son Noynoy Aquino. My friend, I am not base on economy during Marcos regime.

YES. i agree with you. President Marcos was the best president the Phils. ever had. The economy was good and everything was really progressive. even our city.. we were at the peek of the economy. now, everything is the opposite of what we had in the past. :(

The greatest President in history of RP is Manuel Quezon. We just did not live on his time that's why we did not witness personally his excellent leadership. But according to records, he's the best.

We can consider Marcos as the best president the Philippines ever had if we look only on the first four years of his term in office. Afterwards the greed for power overshadowed this excellence. It was President Marcos who made the Philippines known all over the world but at the same time the notoriety of Martial Law also gained worldwide disapproval. It was during the Marcos administration that many of the infrastructures we are benefiting from today have been built however, it was also the source of corruption. Many will disagree with Marcos being considered as a great president but let history judge.

i also thin the first term of marcos was great. people won't vote him again if he didn't do well. it's just that people remember him for his last years.

Though I was born not after the end of his service or the Martial Law. I still consider him the best president that the Philippines had ever had. This is because I have read all his documented achievements which no present or pass president had surpass. The economy before was stable. Even the infrastracture projects at present are patterned to his plans. Imagine all the concrete roads specifically the MAHARLIKA ROAD or the national road. San Juanico bridge for instance. There are lots of things that we have done in the country - if only he was just given a chance then we could be like Singapore now or much better.

me too i may not have experienced his service. I have read so many proofs about the service of marcos. And the Power Plant that was a very good project that was stopped by the Aquinos.

Well, he is a very brilliant president indeed. If only he married a different woman, a woman like Cory, a good and honest woman.. maybe he would have run the country honestly. Have you seen the documentary, Batas Militar? It showed what really happened during Marcos reign. All the infrastructures and improvements he did covered up his corruption and crimes. many people suffered in their reign, and i cannot believe how easily people forget.

For me Diosdado Macapagal Arroyo, because he known as the Champion of the Common man because of his many achievements in improving the plight of the masses and of the poor.During his time, the Filipino enjoyed prosperity and the Philippines was the second most developed country in the Asian region, next only to Japan and ahead of the Singapore..
