I am a huge fan of George R. R. Martin's writing style. I absolutely loved the 'ASOIAF' series. In fact, I've read A Storm Of Swords twice. Moving on to the TV show, First 2 seasons were spot on. They were a little off the plot but let's face it, it's impossible to fit in the entire book into 10 episodes each running an hour long. The 3rd installation didn't please me much though. Any other fan shares my feeling?

OK season one was pretty spot on, I could pick at it a tiny bit but really it wasn't a big deal so I enjoyed it. Season 2 is when they started changing things that happened to the characters, adding non existant characters and characters that should have been there but weren't. Although it as acceptable it annoyed me a little and couldn't understand why they just didn't leave it as it was (I suspect is was cutting costs so they didn't have to hire more actors) **POSSIBLE SPOILERS AND RANT AHEAD** Season 3 I'm not so impressed either so far. They have already stuffed it up. No Strong Belwas, Baristan didn't introduce himself at Arstan Whitebeard so how the hell are they going to work it out later when him and Jorah are at eachother and give away eachothers secrets? And were they not in Qarth still when they showed up not Astapor? The Reeds, why the hell were they not introduced season 2? Why are Osha and Rickon still with them when they should have split? I can understand why Bran might have been put into a wagon he was probably too heavy now to carry in that basket. Why the hell are Robb and Cat at Harrenhal when they never stepped foot in it? Why did he marry a non existant character instead of Jeyne Westerling? The whole point of that was so he wouldn't be angry at his mother for letting Jaime go. In this he is angry at her for it so that's wrong. They were all supposed to be at Riverrun before Jaime was let go and from memory Edmure and the Blackfish should have already been there with them! OK I think I'm done. I have not been able to get this out to anyone because most haven't read the books

True enough. Yet to figure out what exactly made them bring in a non-existent character (Talisa). Also, what about Strong Belwas? Why wasn't he brought in with Ser Barristan Selmy? Lady Olenna stole the show for me though. Her casting and dialogues were spot on.

Yeah she was good but they didn't bring in the bard to sing The bear and the maiden fair! People were looking forward to that scene so again they disappoint on that. Oh and the whole speech Cat made about praying for Jon Snow to die and then praying for him to live? That was so stupid! Why even add some thing like that in when it wasn't even in the book?

I agree with a lot of this as well, though I still enjoy the show. If you think about it as a separate entity from the books, it is less frustrating. I had to realise this in season 2 when it was straying so far from the books that I started get mad at the show! The Reeds being introduced so late was extremely weird to me still, and the Selmy introduction seemed way out of place as well. Also the Belwas thing has me puzzled too, maybe he will be introduced later in their ******Spoiler****** --travels north?--

Hey MindSalad. Welcome to MyLot :) I think that shows need to stray a bit from the book to make them unique, and I think so far the show has done that quite well. I really enjoy that it shows what happens with characters that you don't get to see in the books, like Robb, Margaery, Tywin, Littlefinger, and others. I think so far season 3 has been quite good, although some things have happened that seemed a bit odd, such as Barristan Selmy joining Dany at such a strange time compared to the books, and the reason Jon Snow gave for leaving the night's watch. Overall though, I think it is building into another great season, with continued great acting.

I know, the books are just absolutely amazing. It definitely is frustrating at points, but I still have to say it is the best show on TV.

Thank you. To be honest, I started with the books only after watching the first season and so I owe a part of my interest to the show but after I started with the first book there was no turning back. The book series made me a devoted thronie. And that is probably why I am a tad bit disappointed with season 3. Because, I've been comparing it with the book extensively. Otherwise, yes, i agree with you with respect to characters like Robb, Margaery, Tywin, Littlefinger getting deserved screen-time. Looking forward to episode 3.

This Serie is awesome. Saison 3 starts a little bit slow, but now after i watch episode 3, everything is good.
