My father in law had his heart bypass last March 26, 2013 , according to his dietitian he can only grilled or steam chicken but one of his grandson visited him this afternoon and brought whole fried chicken. Since he can't eat it, my husband decided keep the chicken in the fridge and eat it when my father in law is sleeping so that he will not get tempted to ask for a small bite or maybe I could grill chicken breast for his dinner.

Thats good, I think grilled chicken even tastes better than fried does. Also like you said its better for us all.

Perhaps he ought not to eat the skin either, even if grilled, steamed or boiled.

I think that we should start eating our chicken the healthier way. I think that cooking the chicken that way would still taste delicious even with having less fat.

this reminds me of the time my sister made "turbo chicken." you can also steam or blanch the veggies.
