how can i earn money through youtube

I am just wondering how people are earning money through youtube aside from directing you to your blogs or website. Is it through the number of views that you uploaded? how about other networking sites like facebook or twitter. Anybody is earning through this? Please share your insights.

One of the way is called Youtube Partner Program - officially held by the Youtube itself. You'll earn revenue share from number of views you get. There's several requirements that you need to meet in order to be approved, though.
