I bought a Toshiba laptop on sale for college about 2 years ago. I am very happy with this laptop. It is fast, was affordable, and I am able to complete all my homework assignments on it. I would recommend Toshiba to college students, or anyone wanting a basic and reliable, yet fast laptop or computer.

I was using my husband's Toshiba laptop before it's videocard broke. The videocard is built in so there were really many times he has to open it to repair but sadly, early this year, it can no longer be fixed. I like Toshiba as well but as of now, I am using an MSI laptop. I like Toshiba but I do not know if I will still buy the same if I have enough funds.

Hi, Toshiba is a reliable brand next to Lenovo and Hewlett Packard or either of them. It is robust in my experience, most of the units that managed to land in our workshop have still good hardware going good in spite of the years under them. In my experience, the one with the best performance are those whose processor are made by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) due to its low thermal signature suitable for long periods pf operation and tropical areas. Being cooler running, it lasts long, its parts unaffected by heating parts inside.

Thanks for letting me know this. I don't know much about the inside of computers. I know how to use them, and type really fast but I don't know much about the inside. So all the components on the inside of a computer is like gibberish to me. I will keep this in mind for future references when I go to buy a new one, hopefully I won't have to anytime soon. I don't think I will need to though, or not anytime soon.

Yeah just because you spend more money doesn't necessarily mean you are buying something better. Definitely would recommend Toshiba.

I asked my friends if what brand of laptop they will gonna buy and most of them said it would definitely be Toshiba. According to them it's good when it comes to saving battery it's extremely excellent. If I'll buy a laptop soon I'll try toshiba.

I don't think you will regret your choice either. I am very happy with my Toshiba. They (or at least mine) are very reasonably priced. You might even be able to find one on sale. Good luck.

I would love to have a Toshiba laptop. I have had Dell, Acer, and Compaq. I now have HP and it's holding up pretty good but my next one will definitely be a Toshiba.

I can understand because I bought a Compaq that I had many problems with a few years back. It only lasted about a year. Then I bought a used Dell and that was not even worth buying.

I have both toshiba and dell. Toshiba was good but, my screen got busted, because my daughter accidentally hit it. Dell was also nice, it is around starting last 2007. Its still fast and doing well.

Wow thanks for that suggestion. Toshiba a Japan made ? if it is Japan it is sure it is of quality. I remember our first black and white TV is a Toshiba made. It is a very big TV with rolling two doors made of wood. It lasted for how many years until new invention came out that is the colored TV . If only Japan hears us now , she will be giving us incentives for promoting their product ! LOL! We are just talking what is tested and proven true !

LOL. I have no idea if it is Japan made. Your post made me laugh. Yeah I used to have a old T.V. that had knobs on it instead of buttons.

Wow, good so you made good grades. For me it is a matter of memory slot and how you keep it away from virus and to top it all, is the way, how you keep it safe on handling.

I agree, it is very important to keep your computer away from viruses. I have a anti-virus and update and scan a lot to make sure it is in good working condition and not being attacked by a virus.

Pleased to see you had a good experience with your laptop. I'm one of those guys who are rarely get satisfied with the product they just bought. I always think that I should have gone for a better option. I am planning to buy a laptop soon and I'll take your review under consideration.

I've had the laptop for a good two years if not over so I didn't just buy it. I understand where you are coming from though. With such a big purchase you don't want to rush your decision making. I'm happy and would recommend Toshiba. I will tell you though if you are someone that plays a lot of games then Toshiba might not be your best option, but it is great for everything else.

i haven't bought a Toshiba computer.my first computer was a combinatorial one,it was very cheap, all parts i chose were best during that years.it was very fast and satisfying.the only weak point was not a brand.this computer had been acompanying with me for my four years college time.then i changed a few computers.there are desktop , laptop and Ipad.but i am always in the memory of that old computer. oh my friend,i must be a little far away from our topic.since you recommend this Toshiba computer, maybe next time i will change a computer of this brand.

Yeah I would definitely recommend it. I will probably continue to use and purchase Toshiba laptops. I have no complaints about it. I have many complaints with other laptops that I have bought and or used.
