Hello all! We all need coffee in the morning and with Spring (finally!) here, how do you clean the inside; where you put the water? Vinegar and if so, how often? Thanks!

Have you tried with citric acid or baking soda...it works well Baking soda is another wonderful household product when it comes to cleaning. You can use baking soda to clean out your automatic coffee machine much the same way as you would use white vinegar. Simply fill your coffee pot with water, stirring in a quater cup of baking soda, you´ll want to be sure and use hot water to baking powder dissolves completely. Once you have solved the baking powder in a bowl with water, pour the water into the chamber and let the brew as if it was a pot of coffee. When you are finished runnint two full pots of water through your coffee maker so that it can be rinsed thoroughly. This can be done once a week to keep your automatic coffee maker clean. Citric acid It´s great to descale the coffe maker and kettle. Environmentally friendly and completely safe. Take a couple of teaspoons and run through the coffee maker a few times. Then fill with clean water and run through once, two if you want. If you use the kettle will do the same. Bring to a boil then rinse out. I always use and it works every time.

Hi and thanks for the suggestion as that part needs to be cleaned too. What I meant was where you put in the water before it brews the coffee...how do you clean that? Thanks and I'm sorry if I wasn't too clear before. :-)

If you use a separate jug ( not coffee digester own)to pour in the water so you don´t have to clean your water tank. That deposition arising from type grease in coffee beans and get there through that dispenses water in the jug. Maybe you can try cleaning tablets Bio Tab - Clean water tank hope your understand my english

I personally don't drink coffee but my husband did. When I cleaned his coffee pot I usually did it once every two months. And don't forget to run it through. Forgot to do that once and he made his coffee with the vinegar. Plus I tried to always run water through it after the vinegar. He like to drink coffee a lot and didn't like to wait till the next day for coffee.
