How to get Google AdSense application approval?

I am more than happy to inform you that I've recently started blogging. I've tried couple of times to apply for Google AdSense and my applications got rejected both times.They told me my blog doesn't have enough content to be accepted for Google AdSense program.So how much content do I need have in my blog to get the approval?
