when i was rowing up, my father was abroad and my mom's working. my aunt (my mom's younger sister) was basically the one who took care of me. shes like my second mother. she presently more than 60 years and remained unmarried. i would say because of me. that's why i really want to take care of her when the time comes that she would need me to show her i love her and i appreciate everything she's done and sacrificed for me.

I grew up with a nanny. She is a daughter of one of my grandmother's land tenants in my mom's hometown. She has been living with my grandmother since she was 9 years old. And when my mom and dad went back to the Philippines, my mom took her and she became my nanny and eventually the nanny of my 2 siblings. She never got married. She seldom visits her hometown coz she felt that we are her family since then. She is now 75 years old and still very strong. Now that I am married, she takes care of my kids whenever we come over to my mom's house.

That's true, iluvusabado. We do not treat her differently. We allow her to mingle with our relatives and friends. She knows her boundaries.

the fact that she wants to stay with you only means she also feels loved and needed by your family. i think that's the most important reason. no one would last long taking care of you and your family if you don't really treat them well.

hi, You are very understanding and kind person. You have very warm feelings about your aunt because she has done sacrifices for raising you like your mom. You are right. You should be grateful to her and take care of her as now she is old and no one is there to look after her. When you were in need of her care she looked after you and now she is need so you should take care of her because she is your second mom.

Hey, this is really a heart-warming story about your aunt. Indeed, you need to show her love and to take care of her when the time comes. Although she doe not give birth to you, she takes care of you like her own.
