Tonsils are so irritating when inflamed!

They are just two small lumps in the throat but it just ruins the whole system. I wanted to go to work but the doctor said, I don't want to stress my heart. Yeah, I can tolerate the pain as long as I am not eating or drinking but I am fever as well. Tonsilities should never be taken for granted the doctor adds because it is mall but terrible. It is dangerous when not treated well.

I used to have tonsilitis when I was a kid. I would be having fever and miss out a day in school every month. Good thing that I never have them again when I was older.

I totally support you on this. I usually get sick only due to sore throat and I have been using a lot of remedies to easily ease it out. One if right after waking up, gargling lukewarm water with salt crystals for 60 seconds (in 3 gulps or in one gulp). Then gargling as often as it gets itchy and after eating so you can cleanse the throat. You need to do it to avoid too much bacteria build up that can inflame the throat more. Then drinking tea with lemon. Eating a teaspoon of honey helps to remove the bacteria too. Then when sleeping or resting, try to keep the throat warm with scarf or wearing mask to prevent more bacteria. Generally, avoid bacteria by cleansing and keeping it warm to avoid swelling. Good luck, good luck. I know it better because that's one of my kryptonites. :)

These remedies do work when it is still starting. That's why one should not wait for it to grow big before finally taking some action.:) Thanks joizee. I am so much better now, and yeah, I promised myself to always listen to those tiny twins inside my throat even at the slightest irritation.Never to be caught in that horrible situation again.:)

once i had this damn thing on my throat. i thought it was only something that would go away. and then i lost my voice and i got fever. i consulted a doctor and advised me to take anti-biotics because of my inflamed throat or tonsilitis. now i know the importance of taking care of my tonsil. once it is starting to get inflamed, i take a rest and not push myself hard.

Prevention is better than cure indeed. I am on the 5th day of anti biotic therapy. I already felt it coming when itchiness and discomfort was happening inside my throat yet I still kept pushing myself and waited for the weekend to have my good long rest. Friday morning was just horribly bad that I had to bring myself to the doctor who then gave me a sick note and not been able to work that day. Then I had one of my most terrible weekends in my life, having an on and off fever caused by these painful inflammation. Not to mention the inability to swallow anything including water! Gargling warm saline solution, ginger tea with lemon and honey, and even pain killer didn't help much. It was only on the 4th day that the anti biotic took effect. The torture seemed not to end that which I never would dare undergo again. So whenever I feel the symptom in the future then I just have to simply rest.

we use alternatives on treating sore tonsils by using home remedies . just mix one teaspoon of vinegar in one cup of water and gargle it hard after brushing teeth.
