Cars And Bus Stops Don't Mix!

I needed to go to the bank, so instead of going to Second Cup, I decided to ride the #10 around the outside of Old Quebec Street mall, and get off right infront of my bank, in the square. Would you believe some idiot was parked right in the bus stop? The driver went up a block, and let me off infront of the Presbyterian Church to which I belong. Fortunately the bank was open an extra half hour, but it was still frustrating. Then I got a bright idea. I really don't think people who block buses and reserved parking spots should get away with it. I grabbed my iPhone, and snapped a picture of the offending car, and e-mailed it to the City Worker in charge of transit dispatch. I had a good clear pic that showed the car, licence plate, and location of the bus stop. One could ask how I'd feel if someone did that to me. In all honesty, if I, or any vehicle I was in, parked illegally and an annoyed bus passenger forwarded a pic of my illegally parked vehicle to the correct authorities, I'd deserve it for being parked there, in the first place!!! If you were in my shoes, what would you have done? In this case, it also helped that I knew the guy on dispatch from a previous parking issue when transit refused to park at the correct stop infront of my apartment. I knew exactly who to contact.
