I've done it too during my school days. I am working as a saleslady and studying at the same time. Achieving our dreams is easy if we find a way to reach no matter how steep it is.

When I was still studying in college, I also applied for some part time jobs. However, my father stopped me saying that I must focus to my studies first. I don't my want to disappoint so I had to obey him. Another reason I didn't push myself to it is that my schedule is not fit. Sometimes my classes starts in the morning and sometimes at night.

Your father I think was concerned about your studying and maybe you don't need to take part time jobs to support your education. I think your parent can support it. I think they are just doing their part by supporting your education so, they had to stopped you in your job. That is good you obeyed them, to focus on study and make high grades.

Hello MarkAnthony, it has been long ago that I was at college, but I had partial jobs, first I was an elementary school teacher. And then I found a related work with my career of marketing. It´s very useful to work and study. You learn a lot more things, you gain experience about life and knowledge that can be useful for your development. Don´t give up! Good luck! Blessings MarkAnthony... dainy

This is very good, to earn to achieve your ambitions. When I was a student, I was fortunate to have my parents to support me financially. However, it was not enough for me as I was far away from home and needed much more for my daily living as well as college fee. So, I became a part-time tutor for the primary students .
