Be careful what you wish for and who you wish to...

I was just watching a movie about a superstition to grant wishes.. anything you want as long as you wish hard for it. If given the chance, i would not do it- since it is against my Christian belief to wish from others. God is there to fulfill our wishes, although He may not give it immediately, He always knows what best for us... But if we believe in superstitions, we never know who's granting our wishes, and the price and consequences on it.

Yep u r right really we can only pray for god but we can not wish things or tell to god that please do these things because he knows that what is done by him and what's not. Some peoples are here who believed in superstitions but this is not true. TRUE IS ONLY POSITIVE ENERGY OF GOD PRAY AND ONLY YOUR HARD WORK. JUST DO YOUR WORK WITHOUT TENSION OF RESULT.

Good answer. Know what you have faith and believe in and whom you worship. It is easy to say we love God; do we do anything to prove it? Are we helping the poor? Are we helping with disaster relief? Or are we just talking? Again?

I guess i am one of those people who do not show and prove that we love God every single day.. although i do try to choose the right decisions and live like God.. But it is so hard..

He does grant wishes, but not all the time- but i believe he has a reason for that.. Since He is like a parent who always knows what is best for us. If God grants all of our wishes, good or bad, the world would be even more chaotic than it is now.

I pray for what I longing for instead of wishing,I'm a christian so I believe God will grant my prayers and hearts desire,well in the early age of mine I guess I did wished and when my wishes fulfilled I thank God for it so I believe its it has been granted by him. Yes, i pray too, and i usually include my wishes in my prayers.. I don't think there is a proper format as to how to pray to God though.. God listens to all of us anyway.. i just pray like i talk to Him.

I don't mean to defand and i'm also a nonreligious people.I just wanna make myself happy life and it would be nice it's coming true for my own wishes.I really didn't mean it so seriously before.So good luck to you as well.

yes, some wishes come true and some don't .. maybe in their own time.. and i do believe that there is a reason for everything

It is a good thing that God is not like some fairytale being sitting there granting wishes willy nilly. We might know what we think we want but that is not the same thing as what we need. As you rightly say getting what you want doesn't always turn out quite how we expect it too.
