We noticed that our labrador has developed some redness or itchiness in the skin and we thought it was an allergy from eating chicken. We stopped feeding him with chicken and now his skin is getting back to its normal state. My two other dogs by the way do not have the same situation so we are giving them chicken. I need to have another food for our labrador. The chicken is for the two other dogs and for my labrador I get him some pork or fish sometimes.

I don't think pork is a good idea for dog food. You can use a lamb meal instead. Lamb is known to be good for dogs with allergies. Our dog is from a breed that is prone to skin allergies so she must have only antiallergic food. Right now she's eating a lamb and apples formula from Acana. Another option for your allergic dog could be veal or fish, but definitely not pork.

huh, really, that labrador could also have their allergies when they something which is not good or conflict to their body,i think it can be but its not an allergy, maybe its just an itching because of the food they eat and chicken is one of the fishy food.

Apparently it is quite common for dogs to have allergies to proteins and in particular chicken, I found this link which may be of some use to you. NOT a referral link http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2082&aid=143
