The story was about Rodriguez who failed in his recording career in the early 1970s the united states. His records did not sell even one hundred copies and he disappeared. He was supposed to have commited suicide over an failed concert but without his own knowledge his songs public domain in south africa. During the apartheid regime´s harsh repression became textual message of peace political dynamite. One day, two south african fans try to find out the truth about what had happened of their hero. Malik Bendjellouls Oscar-winning documentary is an incredible story of a musician who was discovered in Detroit in the ´60s and was expected to be his generation´s biggest. I think this film was so gripping and the whole story was tragic. The best documentary I seen lately. Have you seen it and what do you think?
