Would you lie to get into heaven?

Would you pretend you have been changed ? Would you pretend to follow all the rules? Would you lie to family , friends , and G-d to get into heaven? Me? I would not. Am I the only one who sees that once you start living a lie you Have to keep it up? And when it comes to being in heaven , that means eternity! To me this means Never being able to be your true self. To me that would be hell not heaven. So that is why I say if heaven is only for Christians , I say ok. When others say you are going to hell I say ok thanks. What do you say? Would you lie to get into heaven?

Man might look at the outer person and be fooled, but God looks at the heart. You cannot fool God. Therefore, those in heaven are their true selves.

The good news is that anyone's true self can be changed. That's what's so wonderful about the Word of God - Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

I guess you could lie but who are you going to talk to eh? I don't believe in hell. Heaven is being held in my babies arms. If it also means getting a kiss from Jesus I am ok with that too. Listen, if someone tells you getting closer to someone is reserved only for certain people tell them you remember the woman at the well.

What woman? What well? I agree, being with my guy is heaven! A kiss from Jesus? No thanks. Like Any suitor He Better buy me dinner first! Actually that is my point, I don't want to be That close to Any G-d. If He loves me , He Knows to do it from afar And without the Jesus version.

No, I think it is the other way round. If Jesus Wants me to change then He doesn't like the true me. But I know He Knows I'm not going to change. So I'm not one of his flock and I never meant to be.And yes many have tried to get me to be " saved" and I ask from what? Being happy now? If I have to go to hell so be it. Attraction? No. i think it was curiosity.Until last week. Now I truly know Christianity is like trig, it is a concept i am not meant to understand Or use. It is for others.the more I learn , the more I'm glad I am not Christian.

Sounds like you have it out for Jesus. Are you sure it is not religion you have it out for? I can certainly understand if it is because religion has been known to be less than perfect. Perhaps even I am only guessing here some overly excited and overly zealous individual has tried to shove something down your throat that you really didn't want? If that happened to you it was wrong. No one should try to do that to another person. You have every right to believe in what you want. The fact that you are talking about heaven shows you have some kind of attraction to something and though I am not sure at this point what it is I agree with you on the dinner thing. It could happen!

If heaven was a fact, then I would certainly utter lies in order to go there. Whether it is heaven or some other wonderful land, there is nothing wrong in lying to go there. There is nothing wrong in white lies. However, I strongly believe that there is no such thing as heaven. A place in which there is supposed to be only joy and not a single ounce of misery is a place which can exist in imagination.

You can have heaeven here on earth. Haven't you had one day where Everything went well. Whwere you felt so happy you could leap for joy? Where everything you wanted to do you got to do? That is heaven! White lies are lies. All lying is wrong. And you can get caught.

sarahruthbeth22.... Lying will not get you into heaven.....and pretending will not get you their either. We all have the sin nature in us... Lying, Stealing, killing, Just to name a few...No sis is greater than another. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart...when you accept God;s gift of salvation. You will not have to pretend anything, you will change over time....Doing battle with satan is not a easy thing to do. It is not easy for anyone..... Heaven is for anyone that chooses to accept Jesus Christ as lord and Savior..... To accept his gift of salvation.

" change over time."? I thought you either were for Jesus or you are not. you are either deemed to go to heaven or you are not. Heaven is only for Christians, no one else is welcome. I have been told over and over. So why would a person " change over time" Knowing being their true self , they will be kicked out?

No thanks. Like I thought, the price is way too high! I would have to accept that I'm Satan and then have to Want o change everything to fit into a box Where I can't breathe. sorry . I rather live now and die later. Not near Jesus? So be it.

No, I wouldn't lie to get into heaven. Besides, how can we lie to God, while HE's the highest power who knows about what we're doing during our lives? I know I'm going to hell for I don't know how long, I'm not perfect. In my religion, confession would not help you to clean all your sins without your intention to change it. And also, in my religion, it it said that we all would eventually go to heaven after we "redeem" our sins and receive our punishments in hell. So...I'm me. There's no use of pretending or worse, lying to God! But I'll try to really live a better life so that I won't be long in hell.

Do you mean you can confess Without any intention to change?! Wow! How do you redeem your core? How are you forgiven for being your true self.

Noooo...that's not what I meant. If I did a sin, and I confessed it to my religion leader, it doesn't mean that all my sins are cleared. Moreover if I still did the sin again with the thought that I could clear it again anyway. We must really have the intention not to do the sin again which we call "taubat". If we have done it, then it all comes back to God. I'm not this religious freak kind of person, but I just try my best to do what the Holy Quran says. Well, I'm not saying I obey all the rules as well. But I only know that for whatever I do, God knows.

Yes I would. If I can lie and get in heaven, THEY WHY NOT???? ... Not like I believe there is one, But if we can lie and still get in - Then what is the point of following the rules?

You don't believe there is a heaven? Ok. My point is How do you lie to a Being that would know you are lying? would you try to lie to a Being that is better than a lie detector?

Revelation 21:8 makes it clear that liars will not inherit the Kingdom of God; it's an impossibility.

I'm not sure where you are going with this since you can't get away with lying to God anyway. What I do enjoy is having an agnostic post so many discussions having to do with spirituality. You and Lamb seem like kindred spirits.

Who is Lamb? I wondered how many people would try to act like they have changed just to get into heaven. I have been told the Only way to get to heaven is by following Jesus Christ and the only way to be a christian is to love your enemies. Would someone act the part to get into heaven? From the responses the answer is No!

Hey Sarah! I hope you're doing well these days. I think that, that could be one big, massive lie if one was to withhold the truth not only to family and friends, but to oneself and to God. I think that in itself disqualifies one from getting into heaven as I'm sure the creator sees everything.

God know the truth even if we don't say it. God knows everything. What's the point of lying that you are going to heaven when lairs go to hell. Better not to say anything.

Hi, God knows everything. We can pretend anything to hide from the people in our surroundings. but we can not hide anything from God. We all get as per our karma. Reward for good karma and punishment for bad karma. Thank you for the response.

There is no way you can lie to God, you have a bigger chance of lying to yourself. As for heaven, I think heaven simply means being with God, wherever you actually are. If you are with God now, then you are in heaven now. You do not have to be a Christian to be with God, I have seen supposed Christians who are not with God. Hope this is not offensive.

It is not offensive to me! I believe G-d has a hand in times of great happiness. Whenever you are extremely happy, you are in heaven.

Hi behen They say, God watches all our actions. So there is no way anyone can lie to Him. So where does the question of telling a lie arise? I always believe that one must remain the true self as that is what has been given to us by the Lord Himself. btw, I just saw you email and am glad that you are now well and recovered. Missed yah!!!

Bhai!( crying tears of joy) I miss you too. I'm taking my meds and I feel fine. My best to Bahu! I believe that our core is known to G-d. Good or bad He knows. But many want to tell others they better change or... they are going to hell.

Heaven and hell have been discussed many times. And the meaning of both have always been many as well. I look at it this way. Heaven is for those who live a charmed life. Hell is for the rest of us. We are living in hell right now. It cannot get any worse then this. I don't lie, never did. And don't like people who do. But I don't not lie because of heaven. See, you know I am not religious. So it does not matter to me. As for the so called heaven being for Christians, well, that would be a terrible place to be then. since Christians are mostly all about themselves. And want everyone to be exactly like them. No, not for me. I beat my own drum and I always will. I never followed anything in my life and I sure as hell don't plan on it now. All I can say is to make the best of this life we have because thats all we have.

Hi Sara No one would even be able to get close to heaven if they are already liar's this is one of the Ten Commandments "Thou shalt not lie" so I really do not think you would ever be able to lie to get into heaven.
