Heatwave In Ontario? LOL I Think Winter's Finally Over.

Canada
April 15, 2013 10:07pm CST
First off, late last night after three days without hydro, my mother finally got her power back, after the winter storm. As mentioned before, she lives an hour north of me, in a rural area. Hubby and I only went one hour without power, and my grandmother only went without for about 20 minutes. Anyway, when I went outside today it was about 17 degrees celcious, so I almost didn't need a coat. Woohoo!!! It still wasn't overly sunny, but atleast it wasn't cold and frozen. Here's hoping this is the END of winter. How's the weather where you are?

We're supposed to be in the middle of Fall or Autumn here, but it seems that summer never really left. We still need the air conditioner during the highs of the day. Temperature is around low 30s Celcius, but it is also very humid to be without AC.

It is strange that weather dictates our lifestyle and with the way it changes without notice one needs to be ready and waiting for her majesty to give the call! What next? Here where I live we have moderate weather although it is not consistent as in the good old days. The trees in particular do not know how to react. They will flower at wrong times!

I think Mother Nature tricked us. Last week it got up to 80 degrees and with the humidity I actually turned my air conditioner on. Today it is 36 degrees and really cold with the breeze. It's also been cloudy, and will continue to be overcast tomorrow. I think the high tomorrow is in the 40s. But then again, we need the rain.

We put our lives on Hold for 3 days too because there was an ice storm and the limbs came down on the power lines. There was nothing to do, no hot water for tea, no refrigerator for ice-cream, the nights start at 8 pm and runs thru until 7 am. which is way to long to sleep! We were cold, and hungry so we went out for meals, and spent all our mad money!

Winter is over here, Has been for a while. But the weather is still chilly. They keep saying we are getting temperatures in the 60's and it feels more like the 50's and even the 40's. One question I have, how long does spring and summer last up in Canada? I heard that the summers are real short there. Maybe you can shed some light on this.

This morning I had lighter clothes on due to much warmer weather. This afternoon I put my sunglasses on and my pair of sandals. It has been warm and sunny however very windy. I have been so happy with this pleasant weather. At the most it has been 15 degrees C. I hope this like in your area of Canada is finally the end of winter. This is from Somerset in the UK.

Well, we had a sunny day in the 70s today ,so it looks like winter is over for Kentucky. I'm selling my house ,so once my house is sold we will make preparations to eventually go to my beloved St.Augustine, Florida. I'm living in the country now ,but the city girl in me is not having a good time. I love nature and the experience was nice ,but I have to admit that I love my palm trees and my city life.

I am so excited too! It is suppose to get sunny this afternoon, I can hardly wait to clean my front yard tomorrow I think I will get at it. I find it was a very long winter this year it is suppose to get to 20 on Thursday (this seems a little quick) but I will take any warm and sunny days from now on. Enjoy the day DanishCanadian.
