many of us gets inspired by our family but i wonder how does the others gets their inspiration aside from family. I met a good friend from college who has avery strong personality even she's experiencing severe bully such as being lock up in the locker and always been the center of worst tripping you could imagine she's always been shown confident thats why other students had hard eyes on her but didnt really bother her. and that really amazed me after so many years during our reunion we are all surprised how successful shee is and pretty and im so happy for her, an example of strong willed woman

No one inspires me. I just don't really have someone whom I inspire to be. Since I believe that the most important thing is to be yourself. To become successful I just work on my will to do something, to learn more whenever I can.

really? maybe your a type of person easily motivated by yourself, and that type of person is born to be a leader since you are not impressed by anyone

I find inspiration from almost anything or anyone, be it in the form of songs I listened to, poems i have read, movies I have watched...they come from different directions. I even have a notebook with me and I write down every striking thoughts, lines, messages that i encountered from my daily experience. I remember the movie Invictus which starred Morgan Freeman as Mandela and Matt Damon. It was a scene when they talk about leadership. Morgan Freeman said that a good leader should always find inspiration from anything and I believe in that.

sounds good, I'll watch that movie I guess it's a good film to be motivated as to be leader, it's really nice to get inspired by almost anything that will simply able you to do whatever you desire and what you really want in life

good day to you inopiratum_a_medio12, honestly before, i used to be inspired because of my family around. as i loved them so much. that everything that i do, i always take my family into it, their welfare, their wellness and everything that would make them happy. but, all of a sudden, those things, have gone due to some matters and issues happens to us. until such time, they didn't anymore. i mean, i am not inspired by my family now, as they are the reason why i feel hurt. why i feel the pain that my heart is having now. for now, i am just doing my best to get up again. to be strong for myself.

thats really sad but sometimes unfortunate things becomes positive for us tobe strong and to stand for our own for what we believe

That's great that she was able to not let the bullying at school worry her. She really is someone who is inspirational =D For me, I admire families who have children with special needs. Having two boys within the autism spectrum myself, I look for strength from other families by reading about their ups and downs. It reminds me that no matter how hard things may seem right now, that there is always someone out there doing it tougher. Good topic, thanks!

thank you, yes that's very inspiring taking care their children and people got different inspirations from different experiences whether it makes us depress from the situation, pity or get inspired and live well

I am a rheumatoid arthritis patient and have been through really tough times. Besides my family, my friends have been a strong pillar and a source of my inspiration. Having so many loving, caring and inspiring people around me I have been able to deal with this problem with a smile on my face. People like your friend are really inspiring for the students who give up their life or become introvert because of bullying practices in schools and colleges.

Wow! That's amazing. Many people get so hurt by such bullying that they reciprocate the same to the society. There are very few people who are able to retain their sensitivity and make sure that nobody else goes through what they did. They care for other people's emotions and try never to hurt anyone. Your friend is indeed very special and inspiring. You are really lucky to have such a great friend.

yes indeed I admire her so much and she keeps on going based from that experienced as she shared to me she became sociable in a manner that she's cautious to words she use to avoid hurting people verbally ( strange) all the things that she only wants to see is the positive attributes of an individual she's very much independent and optimistic as if she has an aura that she can do anything. lucky me to have her

Except my mother, a high school friend inspires me most. After internship, she went to USA along for studying. In spare time, she does part time job in a restaurant as a cashier to support all payment of study and life. I admire her determination and courage, she is amazing and I learn from her, it is another drive for me to insist on studying English. Thanks for sharing, your friend is very brave too, I like her confidence. These people are not super star, but their spirit deserve respectation and admiration.

My family inspires me to do the best that I can do, to be a great example for them and to show them how hard work can pay off. Also seeing other woman in my similar situation also inspires me because I feel that if they can do it, so can I! I love sharing accomplishments in return so that others can see what can be done when you set your mind to something.

nice. I like that I simply remember a saying from an African woman that man who leads creates a great community but a woman who leads makes a great nation.

Hello, When pondering you question, I can think of 2 types of people that inspire me. First, I'm inspired by those who find an honest way to succeed in life when they have had all the odds stacked against them. These types of people don't let life get in their way, so to speak, and they don't use lame excuses or blame others for all the times when life slaps them in the face. Secondly, I'm inspired by people who put others' interests ahead of their own. They are the self sacrificing ones that do not feel sorry for themselves just because they are unable to do some of the things that they would like to do. Instead, they focus their attention on the needs of others. Of course for that second group, it's always a good idea to make some time for themselves at some point so as not to get burned out.

yes these are inspiring and they are only few who can do these and be able to stand what they believe in even whatever other people say as they say the only can help yourself is yourself people around us are just supports but we are the pilot of ourselves

Nature has inspired the most. It is the ocean which has inspird me the most. Just standing on the beach and staring at the beautiful waves makes me feel very great inspiration. When we look at the ocean from the beach we can feel that it never ends. It goes on expanding.

that's really lovely to appreciate nature and enables to feel at peace for the moment and just enjoy the scene

Just knowing that there are people who are suffering and are having a hard time with life, it makes me to be thankful for whatever I have and at the same time get inspired in doing better for my family's sake.

Hi friend, good to hear about that girl. Surely we must admire her will power and confidence which helped her to achieve a lot in her life, she don't care about the bullying activities, simply she believed her self and achieved her target in her life. She is deserved to be a role model to other girls who are interested in getting success in their life

yes, she's really an example of one of those people to get inspired with.

I get inspired when I see others go after their goals an aspirations. When I see a story on the news about someone who beat the odds or kept going when they were told no that inspired me. I came across a story about a fourteen year old boy who created a tool for heart surgery I found inspiration in that. While watching shark tank I saw a story about a girl who started her now business when she was thirteen that also inspired me.

hmm.. that's interesting and inspiring at a very young age they are mold to create.

Suffering has been my inspiration. It sounds depressing, but be that it may it took a few bad things to happen in my life to "wake me up" from my every day to day tasks. As a child to my pre-teen years I felt like I was on a schedule. I did everything to the point it was the same everyday. I guess it took the deaths of family to wake me up inside and make me realize life's too short to do what others want me to do. After five years of realizing that I've become and done so much more with my life. Just to name a few I've learned to skateboard fairly well(favorite hobby), learned to play the guitar, and I've learned how to roller blade very well. I honestly wish I would have woken up sooner and realized this; maybe my high school years would have been better haha. Now trying to inspire my younger siblings inspires me to push myself further in life.

Good thing you knock yourself with realization, guess it's never to late for everything when you start doing things it will be too late if not done at all ^_^

Some people inspired by their prime ministers, by successful writers and actors. For my son, he was ispired by great movie directors and good quality movies that touches his heart. For myself I was inspire by a few characters in my life. I admired my mum's strong will of love and survival. I am inspired by successful motivation book writer and my strong willed friends. With the words of God that I can refer, I become a better person. I am not very successful in career, but I pursuit happiness in the real sense.
18 Apr 13
that's really nice I guess being successful has a variety set of definition what's important is being happy for what we've become not what we have

That's such an inspiring story. To continue living, staying strong and taking in challenges to make you a better person inside and out amidst all struggles in life. But just like you, my family is my inspiration. I want to give my family everything that they need, sustain those needs and make them happy. I am not to spoil them but knowing they are properly clothed, eating a balance diet and has a roof over their heads, I am happy. I am more than happy if I can give them a little luxury so we can have that sense of being rich, even for a moment. What drives me more is the fact that I can gain more from exerting little effort. Like here, Mylot lets us exhange thoughts and advice from each other in whatever way we can. And the time? So flexible. I am really the boss of me! I'll get much or less depending on my activity, so it is really a total self control here. Thanks for the discussion inopiratum_a_medio12 ;)

yes, it's really fun to have family around and to share thoughts here in mylot. ^_^

that inspiring me most is neither my family nor those successful people,it is just some one who is a bit better than me .they are maybe my friends,my workmates and my neighbours.if i find that one of them is more excellent than me, i will be inspired by her.that doesn't mean i envy her.conversely i admire of her.i just want to become as excellent as her.cos i believe that we are both the same,if you can do it ,i can do it, too.
18 Apr 13
I admire her too, rare people when experienced that kind of bully she had still stand along the hallway with her straight face and not get insulted or fight back just go with her thing whatever people says to her

I get inspiration, well, of course, in my family, aside from that, the people who's there for me always,. I especially want it to be with the people who believes in me, truly believes in me, and would motivate me more rather than pull me down, people who treat me like trash (sort of) or like I'm someone who doesn't have any future and anything to prove just reminds me to make them regret, well not really regret but open their minds or eyes that they shouldn't judge people with what they see or hear. People who push me to go further and people who pull and tear me down are my inspirations. My greatest inspiration of all is GOD. =) I don't really take negativity as negative or bad vibes, I see them as compliment. =)
18 Apr 13
yes we must take negative things that usually we encounter as a compliment or suggestive approach to grow or don't bother if that won't help us to be good or helpful there's a lot things to absorb than to waste time ;)

It inspired me most are those people who had overwhelming enthusiasm it makes me one of them always when we will be together the good energy they had inspired me to live life to the fullest enjoy life always.

yes I agree one author says it's a matter of law of attraction what you become is getting from whom you are with and would like to be with, it can easily influence us to be optimistic and worry free at the same time able to do things that answers our needs with these kinds of people, I just forgot the author he also mention their that it's better to be with somebody whose confident as if everything is possible rather than a person who always sees negative things and lots of problem carrying but of course we can help but not too much dwell
