Do you still violate myLot guidelines?

Haha, my question may sounds like as if we are violating guidelines intentionally, but of course most of us violate myLot guidelines unintentionally or accidentally. Well, what I want to talk about more are the discussions we are choosing to get involve with, be it our own topic or others'. I just want to know if you still commit mistakes in discussions, which ended to deletion, especially those veterans here. Well, me I have already spent time with myLot for quite a decent period but I admit i'm still not perfect in distinguishing what discussions will be deleted and not, of course except the obvious ones. Recently I was again been convicted for violating guidelines which caused to deleted discussions. Let me say sorry for those bunch of responders I have had there. Also, I have also responded to discussions that had been deleted. Quite a large amount was deducted to my earnings. I can say that I am really still not expert in determining what is valid discussions and not. Sometimes, a discussion stayed for several days but will eventually got deleted. I just hope they have deleted it earlier. Well, I can say that it can stop the momentum but we have to move on, just learn from it and just continue on posting. So how about you guys, do you still unintentionally get involve in violating discussion guidelines or you can consider yourself as expert in it? Feel free to share. Have a great day everyone! Happy myLotting!

What is guideline? I don't know them lol I know that every website works due to their guideline, it is what they make, and unless there are violations, no site will think about other changes, many sites continue to be strict on their guidelines, and many make changes to make it easier. mylot has its own rule and thinking.

I try to follow all the rules, and just be your average mylot member. I have had a very small number deleted. I have been in discussions that have been deleted. I kinda know when they will be removed, but if the discussion is good, I will still respond.

I always think I am doing well, but they do delete my discussions as well.

I haven't used myLot much yet, but I tend to reply only to discussions that are in question from and are quite open-ended, since they seem to be such discussions that won't be deleted. Of course sometimes there are discussions which lack question marks, but I still reply to them, since they have interesting topic. Therefore I use my intuition instead of relying on the guidelines.

I'm glad you're still haven't experienced having your post deleted. Well, just keep it up, and just be aware that along your way here, you will encounter discussions that might confuse you if it's valid or not. But I know you're doing well. Good luck and thank you for responding. Happy myLotting!

In my opinion, people do violate guidelines due to a very common reason. Most of the people do not read the guidelines carefully in detail. They just skim through them and due to negligence violate them. Perhaps! this is the most common reason.

Yeah, it's true. But sometimes, even if you read it, after a long period, there's a tendency that you might forget it and here in myLot, we encounter discussions which is quite confusing if valid or not. Well, since you are doing a good habit to always read carefully the guidelines in detail, you might not experience what me and others' had experienced. You will do good for sure. Well, thank you for responding and welcome to myLot!

It is eons since any of my topics have been deleted but my responses get deleted but rarely. The poll type topics normally get the axe and there too it is difficult to determine which is a poll type and which is not!

I am guilty of having violated some of the terms but unintentionally. It happens because sometimes, I would be interested in a certain topic without me realizing that it is a poll-type post or deals with topics that Mylot would really do not want to be discussed here.

I read 'Romans 7' (the seventh chapter of the letter of St. Paul to the church of Romans) today---the one about 'not knowing sin without law ... so does that make the law evil? G*d forbid!' But ... Well, it's really a matter of perspective. If you take all the rules & maybe the sub-rules you can deduce from them, you can find a way for ALL the discussions to violate the rules. What matters is the responders' apparent intention. If they respond to continue the discussion as the starter wanted it, it's safe; if they respond just 'for the credit of having responded,' it's in danger of deletion. With discussion-starts, it's a little different: if they start it because it's something they really want to talk about (hopefully to get others' opinions, but sometimes just to 'get it off their chest'), it's valid. But if they are starting a discussion just for the sake of credit (without CARING whether anyone responds), then it's not valid

Sometimes the mylot software can decide you're creating a repeat discussion when the main part of what you have written is not a repeat. Well, the only perfect software ever created on earth was in life before the Fall of Man.

I am not basically aware which discussions are targets of deletions. i had experienced that as well because most of those deletion comes from the original discussions made by myLotters that made my responses deleted as well. Though we are very much aware of the rules, there are times that we forget how it works because we are just answering and starting discussions. And because of that, we are bound to violating simple rules...the rule of forgetfulness! Hahahaha

I violated by posting a discussion when I was new and that's got deleted. I think I am not violating anymore.

No. I actually don't know what their guidelines are. I just post discussion as an outlet whenever something or somebody in the office annoys me. Usually I rant it all here to get advice so that I could calm down. Earnings are just bonuses of my ranting.

I don't violate the guidelines myself, but i do have posts deleted, becasue the discussions I had responded to, were deleted. Now, there are times, when I know they wi;l be deleted, and other times not. I will help others knowing full well, that they are violating the guidelines, but I feel that if I don't help them, they won't know what they have done wrong. I have lost many a post for helping others, and I will continue to help, as that is what we are supposed to do. I am not here for the money anyway, so losing some earnings doesn't amount to all that much. Take care, and have a good day.

Sometimes I am still surprised at what gets deleted, but usually I can tell right off. I figure why bother responding when it will just be deleted anyway.

Hi ! I am like 10 months here , so more or less i am not anymore ignorant about the guidelines. Experts helped me understand those rules when i was still a newbie here . I have learnt those guidelines by heart. I know now what discussion will be deleted or not , that is why i avoided those discussion whom i am sure it will be deleted because it will be just a waste of time . Some members are aware that what they posted is a candidate for deletion still they posted it.
