Are Americans really this stupid?

See mike our people our to stupid to do that, our to smart however you want to look at it. I say stupid because the more money our own people have the better it is for everyone. These people are the ones that keep immigrants coming here, by trying to be cheap. Then they blame the left wing when its their own fault. Yet the smartest right wing economists can't figure that out or the choose not to.. This day in age it so hurts to be racist and if they aren't racist then they are just not that smart literally.

Sorry to contradict you Mike but I think you'll find that the problem is so great that the Liberals were thinking of having an amnesty for illegals who have been here for more than 10 years. There are whole streets in parts of London and Birmingham that have large sheds at the bottom of the gardens that are rented out to illegals, many of whom now want to go home but can't afford it. In February it was stated that they were trying, and failing to deport 181,000 illegals and on March 22nd it was reported that Nick clegg wanted to have the fine for employing illegals double to 10,000 has that gone through already?

Of course he should help them get food stamps. A lot of them voted for him in the past election. Since a lot of states didn't check ID's and make sure you where legal and that you didn't try to vote more than once. Either way we are screwed as a country, and I find it funny. You have so many people out there are either blind and stupid. There are a lot of people like me, knows what is going on, mad about it, and can't do a darn thing about it.

A pat on the back for you! I agree! Why can't we ever help ourselves...why is it always another country! I have been asking this for years...there are hungry here. There are abused, homeless etc. And if we don't keep our country strong...we won't be able to help any other country! What part of that don't this government understand!!! I can balance the budget and have a massive savings account...first...STOP ALL FOREIGN AID FOR 1 YEAR and all that money be put into this country! Second...STOP ALL EXPENSE REPORTS or "company" paid features for ALL POLITICIANS from state up to President! If all those people have to pay for their own car payment, registration, insurance,gas and maintenance for their cars, stop all "business lunches" that are so totally abused, and they have to pay for their own cell phones and anything else that is acceptable on a "expense report"... instead of us tax payers paying it for them....we'd have not only a balanced budget, but we'd have a strong, totally repaired and profitable country again. But those politicians won't do that. They vote for their own salary increase! Did you know that? Every year they hold a secession and vote yah or nah on giving them selves a pay raise! And every year, they ALL vote yah. Surprise surprise!

I fully agree with not helping other people until we help ourselves first. Why on earth do we have actual families struggling and such that could use help, but we are going to help everyone else in other countries? Or give them all the help they want if they want to sneak over here and have anchor babies? Just like a parent, these countries need to be cut off from funds and told to work out their own problems. No one should legally be allowed to just come here and get all the benefits they never even worked for. Social security has other reasons why it is failing like our politicians borrowing the money and then wanting to cut it instead of pay it back. Some of our debt issue is money that was taken from American citizens that they don't want to pay back. @coffeebreak: We are almost there with your plan. I agree stop all foreign aid for 2-3 years rather than 1 to truly make sure we can pay for what we need. Stop all big business/corporate subsidies, reinstate a welfare to work program, limit the amount of money a student can borrow for school such as $100,000. The schools and textbook makers will adapt their pricing or lose their students. Students can only ever borrow that much and they have to pay back the loans to go back to school. Close some of the most ridiculous tax deductions such as charity, give charity out of the goodness of your heart not to screw over the country by paying less in taxes. Definitely stop all the "expense report" b.s. Either way it is paid by the taxpayers since if it came from them they can just write it off as a business expense. I am sure they have to pay for their own car, gas, insurance and maintenance but I wouldn't be surprised if they get very very nice deals on it. Also stop them from giving themselves a pay raise, cap their pay at about 80,000, stop paying former presidents until they die, and cut out military spending by at least 100 billion and since we spend close to 700 billion on our military as opposed to China (the biggest military spender behind us) spending only 200 billion on theirs then we will be fine at 600 billion. Make campaign spending caps at 1,000,000 a piece and anything over goes back into helping the country and yes we will fix it and the road to recovery would be much faster. There are other smaller things to fix but those can be budgeted properly too.

I don't understand why labor votes Democrat. My husband is in construction...40 years now. And he has NEVER worked while a democrat was president. And they voted for Obama who crushed the biggest construction job in decades! Yet they voted for him. I agree...WHY and WAKE UP!!!

This is why I am working to try to help straigthen up the the Republican party. It needs a cleaning and straighten up. I am about ready to think another party is in order, where the good ones move over to it, and tell the rest to go to ....and that they surely cannot do it without, and we will build momentum and straighten things up. Many people who voted democrats are not happy with their party either, but just haven't figured everything out yet. They have good values and are voting democrat, because they don't agree with the republican party, and may move over to a 3rd party.

The republicans aren't any better. They also want to send jobs to cheaper places to get them done. I know plenty of construction workers with work and great paying work. I don't understand why anyone would seriously vote for EITHER party. You either get laid off or get your wages cut because businesses can operate and ship here for a lot cheaper than it is to hire Americans. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. As long as you keep voting for the problem, you will have problems. We could have a democratic president and a republican vice president or vice versa and we would still be getting screwed over. You two want to tell people to "wake-up"? [b] If you haven't woken up to see all politicians are destroying this country regardless of republican and democrat, you have no right to tell them to wake up. You have not woken up either. [/b] STOP THINKING ONE SIDE IS WORKING FOR YOU. NEITHER DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE COUNTRY. THEY ALL JUST WANT YOUR VOTES SO THEY CAN GET THEIR PAYCHECKS.
