From One Major News Story To Another!

Just as we're still reeling from the Boston Bombings, now something blew up in Texas? Hubby and I were watching the local news on CTV (Canadian Television) and at midnight we decided to switch over to CBC for another national broadcast and compentary. Looks like we won't be seeing any Canadian news tonight. They're talking about the chemical explosion at the fertilizer plant. At first I didn't hear what was going on, and with my vision I could not read what was on the screen, so when I saw homes damanged, I thought they were still talking about the fallout from the Boston Bombing. I managed to move close enough to the screen to read what was written at the bottom of the screen, and that's when I saw "Texa." YIKES! Ironic, since a few hours ago as it was all happening, I was chatting on line with my friend Daryl. We were talking about Boston, and I said "Gee, I wonder what the next big news story will be?" Holy crap!

I was reading some updates on the Boston Bombings on Yahoo news about an hour ago when the 'breaking news' banner showed up on top about the Texas explosion.
I think it was just happening then and there were not much to report yet...
There perhaps more news about that story by now and I shall keep checking.

The latest I heard is that they haven't determined if it was intentional or accidental. There were reports of heavy amonia smell before the blast, and that plant had a previous amonia leak.
I sure hope it wasn't something deliberate.

I don't think and hope that this is related to the Boston Marathon bomb attack. From what I gather this incident sounds more like an industrial accident than an attack. I really hope that there's no extensive damages to the surrounding properties and people, especially children.
