Facebook vs. Mylot

On Facebook most of us have friends and family. We keep in touch with the people on Facebook, update our status and post pictures. We will occasionally send an email or chat with a friend of family that lives far away. It is good to keep up with friends and family on Facebook. Sometimes we have the luxury of reading a funny picture, or hearing a funny joke on this social networking website.
On Facebook some of us have friends and family who have become judgmental. They share pictures or sayings that will get their point across. Occasionally when you post something, a friend or family member might get a little rude or question you. Other times they are friendly and supportive. This really depends on the family members and friends. On Facebook some of our friends will post drama, and seek attention. Other times our friends on Facebook will share about their hard times, and seek support. Then there are the friends who complain all the time on Facebook and every post you read what they are posting, it is a new complaint about something. There are also the people who just complain about one thing all the time.
On Facebook our friends and family keep in touch by liking and commenting on our statuses and photos. Occasionally we might have an actual discussion but most of the time it is just a small comment or like.
On Mylot we might have many friends that we met on here, but have good quality discussions. People might disagree or agree, but people are hardly ever rude. The discussions can be about anything and you can choose whether or not you want to read it. You can start a discussion about almost anything if you want. You have the ability to post about something in your life, or just your thoughts. People can also post about drama, complaints, and seek support. Most of the discussions I read are people just wanting to talk, or possibly have some support from friends on here. I rarely think anyone starts drama on Mylot.
What are some differences you see?

Not fair to compare facebook and mylot , because mylot is a baby while facebook is a monster . Facebook got huge investment and money behind it . Facebook is more advance in games and communication and sharing. I got more than 500 million registered accounts . While mylot is good because your can earn little money directly and it simple and not as advance as facebook . Sometime simply is good.

the thing which matter is interest....
if ur interest in my lot then my lot is more fair then facebook for u.......
if ur inerest in facebook then facebook is more batter then facebook for u,,,,,

The most obvious difference is we get paid from Mylot when we log in and begin posting, while FaceBook doesn't give you a penny for spending time there. Secondly, we are here to discuss and talk about all sorts of interesting issues with friends, not family members or relatives, we don't share many personal portraits either. While Facebook usually include communication with friends, family members and relatives on daily house chorus with plenty of picture posted for them to view. Both have different function for everyone and play different role in our social connection.

one of the main advantages of my lot is that we get paid. Facebook is good for keeping up with a family and friends. that they both have their part in social networking. I'm glad this is this but I like my life better. there is too much drama on Facebook now. Facebook is made so much money and we don't earn any of it. I'd rather spend more time on my life on Facebook. I like to keep up with family on Facebook that use my lot for discussion.

Exactly, that is why I love Mylot so much more then Facebook. I usually only go to facebook to play games. I will occasionally write something to someone in my family or one of my friends. However, it sometimes causes trouble on FB to write anything. One day I was replying to something that I though my brother wrote and then I found out it was his wife. Well this happened in October and we are still not talking to each other. If I had known it was the SIL who wrote the comment I would never had replyed. They share the same FB account and I had no idea. On mylot I have never had any problem with anyone. Also here on Mylot you can make friends with so many people from all over the world. On facebook its only your personal friends and your family members usually. This is one of many reasons I love mylot. 1 person likes this

I agree with you. I understand about the comment on Facebook. I have a friend who is married and her husband emailed me, I didn't know it was him. If I knew it was him then I would have never responded back either. Nowadays you don't really know who to trust on Facebook, especially in those circumstances. It makes me scared to talk to her because what if I was talking to her husband and didn't even know it? Scary.

I will take MyLot over Facebook any day. There is just too much crap on Facebook. Here I feel I can carry on a decent conversation and enjoy it. I very seldom go over to Facebook. I do the GoSave thing when it is working and that is about it.

I went over to FB this morning to do this one thing where I make money. My sons ex-girlfriend had contacted me about him getting engaged. I tile her to call me. I will not discuss stuff like that over there so everyone can read it. I don't need that kind of stuff. My sister is on there all the time. She complains about needing more money so I got her going on a couple of sites. She doesn't do them cause she prefers FB. Oh well...

Both mylot and facebook have their part, facebook is a large social media which help people to contact and connect with different shares, while mylot is a business of paid discussion where people are paid for their quality work in discussion participation with some tasks and other ways to earn money.
Facebook is a social media which not only help us to connect with friends and relatives but also to share their news faster (better then paid media news)
Mylot will pay for personal opinions.

Facebook has serious privacy issue and no privacy is safe there, so it would be better to only use fake account there, over 60% of facebook users only have fake account including me. Here in myLot a user can be banned for using fake account, but privacy is safe.

There are many differences between Facebook and Mylot. It is in Facebook wherein you can communicate with your family and friends here and abroad. It is also here where you can get updated with their whereabouts, etc.. You can play exciting games too. In Mylot, you can have friends too but you cannot get status updates, you cannot like photos and play games. Moreover, you can start a discussion here and let your friends comment on it. You can express your thoughts and opinions freely without getting rude comments. You are absolutely right.. People here are hardly ever rude. :)

People can be very rude on Facebook. There are advantages and benefits of Facebook, like the games and funny pictures. There is also a lot of drama, and "Facebook Stalking" on Facebook. Sometimes you have to be careful with what you post. One of my favorite things about My lot is that you can have an actual discussion rather than just a small little comment.

I think you pretty much said it all! If anything, I might add, for me anyway, that on Facebook everyone on my friend's list knows me . . . but on myLot I am mostly anonymous. So on Facebook, I just do my on-the-surface news sharing and pretty much keep things casual . . . but on myLot I can spill the beans, write the story behind the scenes, and be open about what I really want to say.

That is true. Everyone on my Facebook knows me personally. On Mylot I am also mostly anonymous, no one really knows me personally. It is nice to be able to talk that way on here, and it feels good at times. Plus everyone is nice and will usually be supportive, and give you insightful information, and also encourage you.

I use facebook to get updates from my friends who live far from my place and some are working abroad. We do chat there and talk about things to keep each other updated. But I only use facebook once in a while like in a week, I think I visit the site once or twice unless I have important business in there that I need to check.
Mylot is a different story. I visit the site almost everyday and it usually makes my brain works.

Yes, same here. I think that it is one of reasons why facebook is a hit. You can get updates from your families and loved ones who live far away or abroad. I have experienced playing facebook games before. Actually, it was the reason why I learned facebook. But I got tired playing those games years ago.

for me the difference i can see is that on facebook sometimes when people post anything, most of the time a lot of people don't care and i think a lot of them have read your posts or drama there and some we cannot see it but they actually will talk about what you post behind your back or they can have the opportunity to snoop on your life just by the posts you make. they can think like "oh, that how she is or that's what's going on in here life." stuff like that. but on mylot when you open up about anything, you can get a lot of support and advice on your current concerns, problems, and situations affecting you from people and friends. so it is better not to post it more on facebook but on mylot instead, because more people here will care about it unlike on facebook.

This is so true! I have actually heard people talk like this about Facebook. I am guilty of it too though. I am trying to stop. One of the things I am doing is not checking it as often. I am not as active on Facebook as I used to be. I know it is so much negativity, drama, backstabbing, and judging sometimes it is becoming not even worth it to have one anymore. I am just glad that Mylot exists because I feel I gain more support here than on Facebook. Well at times anyway, because there are some really supportive family members I have on Facebook. Honestly, they are the ones I keep a facebook account for.

I just joined MyLot today. I cannot say too much about the community here. From what I can hear it is a good community. I am intending on sticking around. I at least will stick around for awhile.
I can totally agree with you about Facebook though. I have family on Facebook that is so sensitive and one time they mentioned that they were going to delete some people. She apologized for it and I made a rude comment. Well, she took it the wrong way. I did not understand at the time why she would take it the wrong way.
I was one who she ended up deleting. Her dad is sick now and I feel maybe it would be inappropriate to apologize. I feel like it would be the right thing to do. I am just unsure how to do it. Now is a good time, yes but would I be rude do you think?

I think you should just be sensitive, understanding, and do what you think is best. I understand because a friend of mine has made some rude comments, and then I started making rude comments. It was like a cat and mouse game of rude comments.

You are absolutely right my friend. This two sites almost have the same similarities and less differences. You are right when you said that at least here in mylot you could discuss good discussion and people are never rude. Though there are some disagreement here in mylot at least we could discuss the disagreement here with my politeness. While on facebook a little disagreement might result to being rude to some other users. Social media bullying is rampant there. Have a nice day my friend, have a happy and productive mylotting!

There is too much drama on facebook and too many posts saying "like or find this whatever in your room tonight" dumb things. Mylot has zero drama that I know of and no posts sayi g to "like or this will happen" you can earn here and meet people. But its nice to be on facebook and talk to old friends and family.

hey this is very interesting topic which i see. i think somebody are think that Facebook & my lot are have same purpose but i think these are have more different my lot is not a social network this just discussion site. people are put discussion about life style & experience . future plain also .. others are responses discussion & put comment on wall but Facebook is completely social network site .we can fine new friend chat with them add new discussion on wall & share with friends..add new pictures share ideas make fan page & many more
