Do you guys think that Selena Gomez, insulted hinduism by wearing a bindi in her new single Come and get it? People are being outraged by it because she wore something religious, for a sensual song. I mean why is that offensive? Bollywood movies have a bindi ALL the time. I am very religious, but I dont understand what is there to take offense to? What do you guys think? Should she wear it? should she apologize?

People make issues out of nothing especially when a celebrity is involved.Whats wrong in wearing a bindi while performing a sensual song.I wonder where all these sensitive people disappear when the statues of God and goddess are scattered everywhere in lakes and rivers along with the trash after Ganpati and Navratri festivals. Also its not the first time any actress performed with wearing a bindi.Best wishes.

Seriosuly right! And not only during festive seasons, in general, when in different nations the temples are being broken and insulted, then these are the very same people who fail to raise to voices, and claim to be neutral and what not. Bollywood actresses wear bindi in more sensual songs to be honest, plus i dont think the song was really sensual, it was more of a break up song. Worse songs are being made, and binids are being used in bollywood. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct, actually i wonder why some people are taking it as insult to hindusim, may be it is because Selena Gomez is from different religion.Like you mentioned correctly we see lots of songs involving love making and all that in which the actress involved is wearing sindoor ,bindi and traditional dress, there is hardly any attempt to oppose such songs or scenes.

@grvdubey11 exactly. I dont know man, if we want to be offended by something, there are plenty of other things to be angry about. this NOT so much. Plus, years ago. gwen stefani started wearing bindi, no one said anything about it.

Well i think there is nothing offensive n wearing a bindi for any song, no doubt it should be disrespected but then this is such a small matter and an issue should not be made out of it. We should rather focus on her new single and not on what she is wearing.

Honestly, that is exactly what I thought, until it made it to the news and it was on the news how it founded Hinduism. I totally don't think it did, and the person who complaint was probably having a bad day! Lol
