LOL! I woke up today to the sound of an ambulance driving very near and the sound stopped so I knew they had stopped close. I ran to look out of the window and our entire street all the way up to my front steps was flooded. police were putting road blocks but we live on a busy road so lots of traffic and cars were still trying to make their way through. it was just horrible. thank God our basement didn't flood. our backyard was even starting to get flooded, but the front looked like we lived on a lake. I seen two small cars try to make it through the water and they both got stuck. I don't know why people take chances. better to be safe then sorry! less then a half mile up the road we have a creek and the road is very low there and they were stopping cars not letting them through because the water was so high it was over your head. one car had already floated into the creek and was completely submerged in the water. the water finally went down here but the news says don't get use to it because it's going to get worse. they said that this weekend it's going to be very bad. a lot of people have been evacuated from their homes. they evacuated a nursing home. in a trailer park about 15 minutes south of where I am the news said over 100 people lost their homes. I really hope the rain stops soon because this is so bad. to make matters worse they haven't closed schools here, they have closed some near to here but my childrens schools are still open. I would like to keep them home safe with me. I hate when weather is so bad and they keep the schools open. how is the weather where your from? any flooding?
