Well it is summer already in our city and no doubt it is not safer to move outside but because of my work, i have to move outside at times, in order to keep the heat of the sun at bay i make it a point to cover myself as much as possible. Right from the head to the toe, one can see me covered completely. I look like a crazy people or you can say a terrorist roaming on the streets, ha ha ha. there was a time when a bus carrying school kids were all smiling at me as i might be looking funny for them but i am very conscious about my skin and i cannot let my skin get tanned because of sun. i m giving my best efforts to protect myself from the sun and carry water with me to beat the heat. i have seen people not taking enough protection while riding on the street and i wonder whether the heat is not having any effect on them or not. What r your thoughts about this? How do you beat the heat during the summers? Do u also cover yourself from head to toe while riding under hot sun? Please do share your thoughts!

I hate carrying an umbrella. Even when I was still in school, I would always leave the umbrella at home. I don't mind coming home damp with either sweat or rain. And I still hate bringing it. But if I am with my kids, I do bring the biggest umbrella I could find. IO want to make sure that my kids are always safely shaded.

Yup! I just realized I have matured! I had to always bring the biggest umbrella available to make sure not any one of them gets a drop of rain on their head!

Ha ha ha, yeah i know many of my friends also hate carrying umbrellas and they walk on the streets so bravely as if they do not care the intensity of the heat. They never listen to me and even when it rains heavily they prefer to get wet and enjoy it just to envy me. ha ha ha. Yeah u should definitely carry an umbrella while moving out with your kids at least they can escape the intensity of heat.

ha ha ha, oh really looks like u are not afraid of sun and its burning effect, that is really good but then dear u should also at times take precaution as it might cause sun stroke if u roam about under the sun. So even if u do not cover up then u can carry either a bottle of water or a wet tower with u as a precaution to beat the heat.

I am strong enough to beat the heat without any help. I never carry any water bottle or wet cloth. I don't like.

Well that may just be a cultural difference. In the United States, it works the opposite. Our clothes tend to trap heat, so when it's hot outside we wear less clothing to stay cool. Exposing our skin to the sun isn't always healthy (especially with skin cancer and stuff) and sunburn is a common occurence, but it's not nearly as hot as being covered from head to toe in the sun. It might also be the type of clothing, because some fabric is thin and 'breathable' meaning it doesn't trap heat and make you sweaty. But I know a lot of Middle Eastern cultures cover almost all of their bodies to protect their skin from the sun, but in the west it works the opposite. We just wear sunscreen to protect our skin, because our kind of clothing is way too hot to completely cover ourselves in the same way!

Yeah u are absolutely right, i have seen people exposing their skin to sun rather than covering it up and that has always raised my eyebrows as i feel it might burn their skin. But still it is good to know that people don clothes that would trap the heat and keep them less sweaty especially during the summers. i prefer covering myself so that i can stay away from the intensity of heat of the sun.
