The postman gave me a letter all the way from Poland

I was just about to leave my bungalow with my daughter to the school to collect my son from school and the postman knocked on my door. He was surprised to be delivering a letter all the way from Poland. I had to sign for it as it was recorded delivery. Yes, it was our tickets for the train from Krakow to Lviv in the Ukraine. We will have a compartment with 3 beds. My daughter will go for the top one, me the middle one and my disabled son the lower one.
Did you ever get anything delivered that surprised your postman?
Have you booked a train, plane or ferry ride on-line?

Wow, I suspect it seems even more real that you are going now that you have the tickets! It won't be long now my friend. Don't think I've ever surprised my postman, mind you he is a very miserable so and so and never speaks. The best parcel I got through the post was my free meerkat when I purchased my car insurance, they are so damn cute. I've always booked my tickets in person, rather than online, call me old fashioned, but I still prefer the human touch, you may have to queue but that's the way I still do it.

I feel happy for you maximax. So you now have confirmed travel arrangements. I know how tense one gets until one physically sees the tickets. I had tense moments when my travel agent got our Shenzhen visa at the last moment. The agent landed at my place with the passport just two hours before my departure to the airport!
And talking about mail by post, we were told to post something to our folks at home from a post office that is supposed to be the highest in the world - Jung frau in Switzerland.

My mother-in-law got letters from AFrica and later Spain, from my niece who was a teacher in those countries. I have gotten letters from England but that was years ago before the internet. We also booked online when we were going somewhere.
