a pleasant day fellow mylotters, for the past weeks and months, i have encountered a not so good situation in my life. and because of this, a friend of mine have advised me not to dwell much on the sad situation that have happened to me as this might affect my health. hence she have shared to me this lines, "it is not good for the heart". so, whenever i feel sad, upset and irritated, i always try to reminisce the lines that she have shared and told me, "it is not good for my heart."

hello friend, most of the people I have found really don't live their life in present time. They either live in past or future.And the very truth o life is that whoever try to live in past or future will surely miss the present freshness of life. So it is my appeal to all people that forget past and enjoy our life moment to moment.

to you swamiaks, you have expressed your thoughts very well. forgetting the past is really ideal especially if that pertains to a sad story. however, if that one has a combination of good and not so good ones, then, treasure the good things and throw out the not so good ones. same thing what Deepak2J have written, that is, to forget the bad things that have happened and never forget the good ones.

This is so true, many people worry about things that have happened or will happen-myself included. By focusing on the negative things you not be able to focus on the positive things, it is not worth it.

I believe in just taking the lessons learned in negative situation and not dwelling too much over the incident Whether we like it or not, the world would not end just because something bad happens. Better take care of ourselves and make the most of our lives happy.

Thats true. Being sad makes our heart sad too. Just cheer up if you have problem and dont think too much about it. When boredom strikes.. smile. Just keep smiling and your life will smile and your heart will be forever joyful :)

Hi airasheila, our sad feeling would be worse if keeping on dwelling much on the sad situation. Do the best to stay away from it doing other activities. Chatting with good friends or family members. We would be relieved and at ease to have someone to share our sad feeling. Other than that there are still lots of activities like listening to music, watching comedy movies, having outdoor activities amongst the natural green where the fresh air is soothingly that would comfort our blue mood Have a happy mood would always keep our heart strong and healthy Happy posting

Your friend is right. If you keep on thinking of things that upset you, it would surely affect your health and disposition in life. We may not be finding a solution for the problem now, but we must somehow learn to let it go and just pray so hard that we may be given enough strength, humility and compassion.

"When life gives you 1 reason to cry, show her that you have 1000 reasons to smile." This is what I practice in life and have been able to deal with this life in a much better way. It is actually not good to keep worrying about the sad incidents of life and it is useless to cry for people who make you cry. Life offers us so many good things that we ignore just because we indulge ourselves in brooding over the past. PAST that we cannot change. So why not live in present and try to make a better future.

I agree on her too much sadness is not good not only to the heart but also in the mind, it may result to depression just like what happened before to my one of my friends, she cannot move on from the loss of her son and she almost gotten crazy to the point that she's been maintaining some medicines anti depressant and mood stabilizer if haven't control of too much sadness... invite positive things and be with good people that will make your day

That's a nice way to motivate someone to be optimistic. In life, we will encounter trials/challenges as we go along. But those will make us stronger and grow. All those hardships will be the key to open new opportunities to be happy and appreciate life from small things to big things. It's great to have good friends like what you have.
