I have recently started watching Duck Dynasty. It has became one of my favorite television shows. Do you watch Duck Dynasty? If so, do you have a favorite episode? What was it about?

This is another one of those reality shows that I have no understanding of how it made it to TV or why. I don't watch reality TV, especially shows like this one. Most of these shows are scripted anyway so where is the 'reality'? And where is the reality when they pay these people to do the show and make 'stars' out of nobobys?

I don’t really truly believe any show is a reality show. This is really the only one I watch. All the other shows I watch are sitcoms. I’ve always believed that celebrities are making way too much money for what they do. I think that the idea of reality shows is entertaining and is what is selling on T.V. so everyone wants to do it now, because a lot of people watch reality t.v. shows nowadays.

One problem these shows is that they pay the people to be on them and in some case, like with Jersey Shore, people like Snookie start to feel that they are stars and demand more money. One show that I used to watch that disappointed me was Ice Road Truckers where they created a false competition between the drivers as to who would deliver the most loads. You knew this was bogus because the only drivers in the 'competition' were the ones on the show and you knew there were many other drivers on the roads who weren't on the show. The last straw for me was when I heard that the amount the drivers on the show were paid had nothing to do with the number of loads they delivered and in one series, a female driver was only driving the truck on camera and they had another driver running the truck when she wasn't on camera. The only reality show that I think is truly real is till Survivorman where Les Stroud strands himself in the wilderness for a week showing you how to survive doing all his own filming with a camera crew. (Even Bear Grylls, Man vs. Wild, has been said to spend nights in a hotel rather than really spending the night in the wild.)

That is one of my dad's, sister's, brother-in-law's, grandmother's, and uncle's favorite shows. LOL I haven't seen it. My sister recently bought their book on Kindle. Their book is a huge hit. It's amazing how many copies they have sold.
