How can I be pretty?

When I was a kid I always pray that God will make me the prettiest kid in school. But after seeing all those pretty kids, I know I am far behind them. So I changed my prayer. I said, "Lord, make me the prettiest kid in class." But unfortunately I was not elected to be the "muse" of the class. And so I changed my prayer. I said, "Lord, make me a pretty kid". Now that I am in my 50's. I believe God answered my prayers. I have a lot of friends who love me. I am complimented because I am friendly, kind, considerate and helpful. Actually, I feel pretty because I am trying to live life to the fullest by making a difference. I want my students to be pretty also. Can you help me how to be pretty and how to teach young people to be pretty?

As soon as you gain full confidence in youself, you will do the best,I think.Actually,we don't have to too care about the views of others. In fact, life many things need not be too concerned about, and not to insist let all be better.I am who I am,isn't it?

Yap. I am me gifted by God, raised by my parents with values, formed by the educational mission statement of my school. I embraced me as me. What other people say about me don't add or diminish the truth about me. Thanks for your sharing. I will take note of that.

My dear friend, I would like to tell you that the best way to make ourselves pretty is to start to love ourselves.there are only a few in the world who are able to love themselves. And the hard truth of life is that without loving oneself one can't love others.

That reminds me of a friend who went through a lot of difficulties but would always maintain her self dignity and physical appearance. I remember, after a night of crying, she asked me to accompany her to buy some facial cream. I was laughing but she said that to cry is one thing, and to beautify herself is another thing. She has to love herself. No wonder, she has the capacity to forgive.

I never wanted to be the prettiest kid ever. I was very pretty but didn't know it which was a pity. However, I strove to be charming as if I was charming then I knew this would last last longer than looks!

I agree. I may not be gifted with natural beauty but being charming will bring out in me the best of what I have. You are indeed a charming person.
