Hey guys, until now i have watched very few movies in theaters as i find it extremely uncomfortable to watch a movie over there, i do not get freedom to take some break while watching a movie. besides sometimes while u r watching a movie, u can see people gossip or a child crying which is also very distracting. i remember last time i had been to a cinema hall 8 years back when my friends had forced me to go there. But personally i have always enjoyed watching a movie at home as i can take a break during the advertisements, besides nowadays most of the movies r being premiered on TV right after it has released so it a win win situation for me, ha ha ha. what about you guys? Which one do u prefer watching a movie- on TV or in cinema halls? Please do share your thoughts!

Hi there Subhojit10! I like watching movies in cinemas. I used to watch at least once a week back when I was studying but I cannot do that anymore since it costs a lot more now. It is probably because of the atmosphere, and because there are no distractions, in my experience, at least. I did experience some distractions, like mobile phones ringing and other people talking but that's rare. I must admit that aside from it being cheaper to watch movies at home, and more comfortable, I still like watching movies in the cinema better.

Yeah dear i can understand your opinion and respecting your opinion i would like to mention that there are many movie buffs like u who still watch movies in cinema halls no matter whatever the price of the tickets are, and there is absolutely no issue if u are not able to watch movies in the theaters like before, u can still catch all of them on TV.

Yeah that is the same thing with me as well, i have been to a cinema hall some last 7 or 8 years back i do not remember exactly, but still i have always preferred watching a movie at home especially when no one is around so that u do not get any kind of distractions from others, ha ha ha. What was the last movie u have watched on TV?

I'm like you, I like my freedom when watching a movie. At home, you can pause the movie, if you need to get something or a potty break. It's been a long time since I have been to the movies, last time was to see Iron Man 2. I like to be able to stretch out on my sofa instead of having to sit in one position for a two hour movie. Also like you, I like my quiet so I can hear the movie. I don't see wasting ten dollars to sit for a long time So I can try to hold my bladder or miss parts of the movie, while having trouble hearing because of loud people around me.

When I was younger, my boyfriend and I used to be watching movies every week. I guess it is just part of the dating stage. But now that were married, we find it more relaxing to just watch a movie at home with the kids.

Yes u are absolutely right, it is absolutely OK for couples to go to cinema halls as they can spend quality time with each other for few hours at least but since u are married, things wont remain the same as before, so it is better to watch movies at home without any external hassles.

The last movie I saw in a theatre was A Yash Raj Movie in 2004, after that due to my health conditions I haven't been to a theatre. I always enjoyed watching movies on big screen. I do see every movie that comes on TV, but the frequent commercial breaks especially in the last 1 hour make them boring and intolerable.

Oh yeah u might be talking of Veer Zara, but i am not sure. Anyways yeah i know due to health problems u might not be able to sit for two to three hours at a stretch at the same place so it is better to watch movies at home. besides as u have mentioned even i do watch all the movies that gets aired on TV and yes the commercials do make it boring n monotonous at times.

I have been through my fair share of watching movies with strangers sitting right next to you that cannot sit still and talk to their friends during the important parts of the movie, very frustrating!!! Personally I enjoy watching a good movie at home comfortable and relaxed, then on the other hand I found that if the desire arises to watch a movie at the theaters I go when I have a day off and at a time where the theater will be most empty, then it is really cool to go to theaters.

Ha ha ha, yeah that is the most annoying part when u go to a theater as u have to sit next to a stranger who might just disturb u with his activities and even u can not do anything and feel helpless especially if the important parts of a movie is going on, so it is better to sit at home and have patience till that movie gets aired on TV. yeah that sounds a better idea to go to cinema halls when it would be empty.

I find it better to watch it at home. Like you said, i can pause it, and i do not have to pay for food. But, when some great movies come out, i cannot wait to see them. Also, i do not have a home theather, for that reason i find it better to go to a theater.

yes u are absolutely right, we can pause the movies for a while if we r busy for few minutes and then resume it to watch it till the end, once u watch a movie at home, u can rule out many expenses like food that u have mentioned. Besides yeah of course some movies needs to be watched at theaters as that would make it watch in a grand way.

ha ha ha, yes u are absolutely right, in fact some of your costs would be saved, like food, ticket and traveling expenses. also once u get to know about the reviews of a movie then you can skip it even if it is aired on television, so it is a better idea to watch movies at home.

Ha ha ha, i am glad to hear that u too have not watched a movie in a theater for many years, in fact ever since i have watched a movie in the television when i was small, i have made it a point not to go to any theaters as i can watch a movie by relaxing easily at home, without having to wait in queues to get tickets that happens in my city.
