Have you ever made a bet that you were convinced you were gonna win but then lost and did you go through with it or even just regretted making a bet cause of the forfeit, wanted to back out but didn't. I think regardless of the bet if I made it with someone, I would go through with it. Please do share stories if you have any.

Yes, sometimes I win, most times not. I am not very lucky with betting. I don't know why. Just maybe, I am not made for it.

It is generally down to luck though, depending on what you are betting on.

I'm not really talking about betting money, for me that's a whole other ball game and I never bet money anyway. Why bet money when you can make forfeits instead, far more fun :)

I made a bet with my husband a few months ago that a certain store was not located where he believed it was. I was sure I was correct. Needless to say he won the bet. We bet if he was wrong he would have to clean the two vehicles. So that is what I ended up doing cleaning the van and the truck all by myself. I enjoyed it though because it was hot outside and the water felt good.

Seems like quite a fun bet to lose anyway.

Back in College, it was my then boyfriend (now husband) whom I had a bet with. I was so sure that I was going to win so I agreed. But it turned out the opposite. Well, there really was nothing to do but accept defeat. Was I sorry? Hmmm, sort of. But, maybe it was just bound to happen anyway.

A bet is a bet and you should always keep faith when making them. I don't ever bet for money. I may bet something and the loser does the dishes or something silly like that. Baking out is childish and poor sportsman ship and can make you lose a good friend over something silly or stupid or a few bucks and that isn't worth backing out over.

If you make a bet then backing out isn't an option. It is a simple case of honour and dignity at the end of the day, so if you can't keep a bet don't make it in the first place.

I mostly win all the bets that I make. It's hardly twice or thrice that I have lost any bet. I would always bet for a pastry or a chocolate or some other eatable which is not very expensive, but is worth winning. I remember losing a bet to my cousin. Actually my younger cousin and I were watching his family album. After 10 minutes his elder brother came in the room and asked me if I saw his childhood pic in girl's costume. I said the pic hasn't come yet. He insisted saying I have already seen the pic, but didn't recognize him. He asked me to bet on it and I did considering my memory to be sharp enough to have registered everything I saw in the album. I felt really stupid to have bet on something which was sure for him to win as he would know better if I had missed his photograph or not. But it was fun. We bet on a family pack chips packet.

That's fair enough. I haven't really betted that much but never for money.

Well, I have mixed situations on this one. Sometimes when I made a bet for real and lost it, I'll go through with it on the day itself. And there are sometimes I lost a bet, but the other person totally forgot that we made a bet. During these times, I keep quiet, play dumb and sneakily escape. Hehe :P
