Lost my iPhone :(

for the first time in my life i have lost a mobile, and that too my iPhone 4S :(
Actually it was theft, a bad guy can to the office and just picked it from my desk...ironically the cams near to my desk only wasn't working since weeks, and i suspect thief knew this... i need it badly...

I think there is an apps in iPhones that can track its location. Why not do it so that you can trace where your phone is and that you can penalized who ever took it.

Yes there is an app but that's of no use in this case. As the mobile is switched off unless thief switches it on this app is useless.

You are right but there is a catch here, he has switched off the mobile. now unless he switches on the mobile apple cloud will keep saying all devices offline... i now realized this app is of no use

That should be a lesson for you. Don't leave your things on top of your desk if you are going somewhere. You may never know how some people may be in dire need of money that they would just take anything that they think would let them earn something.

Oh man, that's too bad. Sorry to hear your misfortune. Is there any other way for you to recover it, like an apps called locate my phone? Maybe you should also get your number blocked now. And if ever you have your email installed there or other social networking sites, make sure that you get to reset your password.
