Mother's Day Gift, A New Pen

I went down to the Loaf&Jug to grab few things and ran into a friend. She asked for my phone number and I didn't have a pen or paper. So I went over and asked the manager if I could get apiece of paper and borrow. He asked what color I wanted to write in. He had one of the pens that has four different colors. When I was done I gave it back to him and told him that on my desk I have a red pen, a green pen, a blue pen and a black pen. He asked of I like them all in one pen and I said yes. He handed the pen back to me and said, Happy Mother's Day. That was so sweet of him.

that is indeed so sweet to happen to anybody. i believe that there are still so many people out there who show random kindness to people. oh, mother's day is coming. i have not thought of anything to give to my mother. thank you for this discussion because it reminds me of this special day for mothers. they truly deserve something from their sons and daughters.

They are all wonderful at that store. I was very surprised and yes happy when he gave it to me. There definitely are kind and nice people in this world. I feel good that my post reminded you of having to get a Mother's Day gift. My mom passed 10 years ago but I do send my step mother (and I don't like that word} something. She has been great to me.

Well that was certainly sweet of him. It is certainly a very nice gift way before Mother's day! I like those pens. When I was in high school I always carried one. I was so excited when they come out with the pink, purple, green & blue. My favorite color is purple and I was just happy as a lark to get one of those things.

Awwww that was sweet of him! lol By any chance, was he flirting with you? lol Hey, nothing wrong with a little bit of innocent flirting. Either way, it was nice of him. My husband and I are at my parents place.... I still call it 'their place' even though they're deceased.... cleaning it up a bit for open house tomorrow. I hate being here for obvious reasons but things need to be done in hopes to sell the place so I and my 2 brothers can get on with our lives. Especially me since I'm close by thus my brothers are 4 and 5 hours away. We cut the grass yesterday (almost 5.5 acres) so that's done. Yay! BUT it's supposed to rain tomorrow and all next week. Arg! That means we'll have to come back and cut it again sooner than we anticipated. Always something to keep us busy!

I hope he wasn't flirting. He wears a wedding ring and I don't mess with those men. It sounds as if you are keeping very busy. I remember mowing huge areas like that. That is a lot of mowing. It must be hard to have to be there with all the memories. I wasn't around when my mom passed and it probably was for the best. One brother and sister was fighting over who got what. that is so sad and I did tell them how I felt about that at a later date. I have wrotwe with all four colors already. What fun!

It was a very kind gesture and so thoughtful of him. I must say, he's is a very considerate person. Lucky you that you got something that you didn't expect but liked to have.
