the best thing to do on a one day holiday

On May 1,2013 is a legal holiday in the Philippines we celebrate Labor Day. I want to spend it more special although everyday is really special for me because of my family.
I cannot think on more special it is also payday for those who received salary monthly like me

On May 1st I will be starting my new job, so I guess I don't have some good ideas. 
But when I was still there, I usually spend it with my family at home, we will have a barbecue cook out and possibly have some time hanging out at our pool house. Once I tried to take my younger siblings out to stroll in malls and amusement parks and boy, was that the worst idea ever. It was so crowded because apparently everyone else have the same idea. We ended up tired, hot, and hungry.
