A couple of years ago, Bush cancelled a trip to Switzerland because a human rights organization was pushing to prosecute him for war crimes and for violating international law by authorizing torture. At Guantanamo Bay where there is a prison camp they have tortured prisoners even when those prisoners are not guilty, and held them there for years without being charged and without trial. In Canada, a human rights organization also wanted to bring charges against him. In Italy, they have prosecuted CIA agents for kidnapping people and sending them to places to be tortured, a practiced called Extraordinary Rendition.
What do you think of a government that uses torture and imprisons people with charges or a trial? Torture and rendition is against international law. Should US officials be prosecuted for war crimes and for violating international law, including the Geneva Convention?
