Exchanging or Selling Airline Miles, Points or Rewards

I am a member of several airline frequent flyer programs. I may not be able to use some of my points before the expiration date. I am finding out that you can trade or even sell points that you can not use by going through a broker. One that is even recommended by Amtrak is points.com. Has anyone had experience with the trading or selling of miles, points or rewards? I am referring to airlines as well as hotels.
