our cat just gave birth

our cat just gave birth to two kittens. i haven't checked their genders yet because i'm afraid the mom would bite me. hehehe.
we usually don't allow cats inside the house but the mother cat gave birth inside so we have no choice right now but to let the cat sleep inside to fee her kittens.

i don't really give names to our cats because most of the time they are outside our house. i just identify them with their colors.

We only have a dog for the past 2 years, but recently, a stray cat have just felt comfortable being in our house. I feel sorry for the cat though, coz although our dog is not fighting with her, our dog will not allow her to eat at all. We have to really close the front door so that our dog does not come in while we feed the cat.

Awww, congratulations. I hope that Momma kitty and her beautiful babies are all doing well. 
I also hope that the human family is well. 
I know what you meant about mother cats getting aggressive. Maybe if you keep a comfortable distance but let her know you are around if she needs you, she will be comfortable with that.
Cats differ so you have to see what works best. I've had cats that didn't mind it one bit if I handled and helped with her new born kittens.
I wish you and your feline family all the best.
