…everyone’s on a holiday except for me

Yup, I’ll be working tomorrow even though it is labor day. I guess I am doing this to earn more money (bills to pay). I don’t work in a traditional setting anyway so it doesn’t really bother me. But of course, some family members will be home for most of the day and will be relaxing. Although I might get more household chores, I guess it would be a good time to catch up with them. Some of them don’t come home regularly and have to pay for temp lodgings near their work. I will be working but then again, it’s nothing new.

Cheer up and enjoy your work. That way, it's no different from other days.

Hi. Working during the holidays for me seems to be normal. I just managed to get used to it. Regardless what holiday would it be as long as it falls during my scheduled work day, I need to go to work. Well there would be some benefits of going to work during holidays. First, there would be no traffic. And the most important thing is that you will be paid double. That's great right? Enjoy your day.:-)

Consider yourself lucky if you will be working tomorrow and be paid overtime for it. Here in Dubai, May 1 is just another regular working day so I won't be expecting any overtime or any other compensation for work rendered.
