So you probably missed my bazillion posts last summer about the people who bought my house, and their attempt to hold on to most of my security deposit (we had a rent back deal) due to "cleaning issues". They were trying to stick me for cleaning that the contract didn't require, such as walls, and other ridiculousness. We ended up letting them keep a token amount, and got most of it back. Fast forward to this month, and apparently the alarm on the "waste ejection" system went off, and they had to have the tank flushed to the tune of $2300. Their agent wants to know, since they didn't know they had a septic tank, and thought the house was connected to the sewer, what we can do for them. Well, dumbos, it isn't a septic tank, it's a lift tank, and the house IS connected to the sewer. Go and Google the difference. A lift tank is used sometimes for houses that are on different levels than the sewer is. There is a small tank to hold wastewater, and a sensor that determines that the tank has reached a certain level, at which point a pump flushes the waste water into the sewer. Go do your homework, and leave me the heck alone. I have enough stress in my life, thank you very much! Anyway, my agent is going to talk to the irrigation district, and a plumber, and then go back to them and tell them to fly a kite. Their bill doesn't even say "septic tank" it says "waste ejection system". I swear, if they come back at me for something else again, I'm going to threaten to sue them for harassment or something. Oh, it was the agent's husband who contacted my agent, btw. Their agent doesn't work there any more. lol

wow....the gall of some people. The deal is over and done, and generally once closing has been agreed on etc during the sale of the house, if the issue was not specifically listed in the contract they should have no right to even contact you about repairs etc. If they wanted to buy the house, the either did or SHOULD have had an inspection done before the sale went through, and any issues or oncerns addressed at that time, not a year later. That would be like me buying a car off someone a year ago.....then having the muffler fall off today and expecting them to replace it. crazy...
