Help. Someone accused me of sending them an abusive text. I didn't!

Someone at a business where my daughter worked is angry with her. He knows how close the two of us are, and he sent a text to my daughter accusing me, her mother, of sending him and 'ugly' message. I did not send a message to him. He even sent her a copy of what I supposedly sent. She apologized to him and said she would talk to me. When she brought it up to me, she said it made her feel like a fool. How does someone do this? Can you share this with me?

I would think your daughter would believe you before him and she is the only one that counts. Stuff happens and all we can do is ignore it sometimes.

Ooh, that sucks. Did the text actually come from your phone? Did it have your name on it? Does this guy have your number in his contacts? Do you have his number in your contacts? In other words, how does he know it was you unless it came from your phone. Anyone can send a text and sign someone else's name on it. But, if he does have your cell # in his contacts and the message came from that #, then I would say someone used your phone and picked his name out of your contact list. Maybe?
