So,let me introduce you guys to the FESTIVAL briefly and btw,acting as a "Ambassador Of The Chinese Culture"! lol
The FESTIVAL is fixed to memory Qu Yuan,a poet died in somewhere in China,oh yes,that's not important,the important thing is that we,since it has been fixed as a kinda traditional and statutory holiday,can usually have three days in a row of holiday!
And it's really a coincidence that today is my birthday! Happy birthday to myself! lol

firstly, happy birthday to you.....and i hope you are enjoying it, and this holiday celebrated in your area of the world. can you inform us more about this poet, Qu Yuan? what kind of poems did they write? They must have been some pretty important ones to get a holiday named after them!...

@narsha well....enjoy your holiday none the less.....but let me just encourage you to know that when you know WHY you are celebrating a holiday...as opposed to just getting the time off from your duties it makes it a little more heart warming....am glad i prompted you to do a little research. We have so many days off in the United States due to memorials of historical figures.....i wish my work would allow me to stand at the door way and ask children if they know WHY they are shopping with mom today and not in school......and to give them a prize if they answered right!!...

@Cathy_Lee thank you so much for your response! That is an awesome story of folklore and i love learning and reading about those kinds of things. Cultural folklore is so important to our culture..The story of Qu Yuan is quite intriguing....
